I realize that I've been posting information here for a while now, but haven't provided any relevant background demonstrating real knowledge about the things that are important to VersionTracker users. Therefore, I'd like to give you a brief introduction to who I am and what I'm doing here.
The product manager position focuses on VersionTracker.com and MacFixIt.com, with a strong emphasis on the Mac community. I've been using VersionTracker and MacFixIt practically since they launched, so I know exactly what it means to be one of our customers. I set a high bar for our services, and I want to provide customers with a truly valuable resource that is second to none.
I've grown up on the Mac. My dad ran his freelance design business on a Mac II in the late 80's and I've been using the platform ever since. My first Mac was a Powerbook 145b (with a trackball!). One of my first jobs was supporting a small business that ran on Macs and Filemaker databases and I have used and supported Macs in various business environments throughout my career. In short, I have worked on and around the Mac throughout my entire career, in addition to using them for all of my own computing needs.
You may have noticed some changes recently, and there have certainly been some bumps along the way. We're working on addressing the remaining issues as well as moving towards major site improvements we have planned for next year. I can't provide any detailed information now, but we've got big plans for the site, and regaining its position in the Mac community is at the top of the list.
I hope you find this information helpful and informative. I look forward to working with you and hearing your feedback as we continue to move the site forward.
Sincerely,
Aaron Smith
VersionTracker Product Manager

Hi Aaron,
Appreciate the intro about yourself.
Is the founding crew of VT still on board, Kurt and his gang?
Cheers
