RDC Menu 2.20 Beta1 (Mac OS X)
Curious, is this superior in any way to the most recent CoRD beta from February? Obviously from MS, but... seems that CoRD works very well and removes the need for the MS app perhaps. [alert admin]

XBMC 0.5.0b2 (Mac OS X)
This is a very serious contender in the media center market for Mac OS X. Obviously there are a number of little things to clear up. I would also suggest that they bundle some themes with it or add a more robust theme management methodology to it. I personally would like it to feel more Mac OS X like, but that's preference. One thing that does need to be added ASAP is integration with iApps so that audio and video from iTunes can be directly manipulated, iPhotos can be viewed and so forth. I would really use the app seriously if that were added. I do enjoy pointing it at folders as well, however the integration is sorely needed right now. Also, is there a way to actually replace FrontRow? It would be nice to actually press the menu button and have XBMC fly out instead of FrontRow if they were to give us the option. [alert admin]

Fluid 0.9.1.3 (Mac OS X)
This application is a key piece in my daily workflow. I could certainly stand for some more web development features to be integrated or even if he would consider adding some cross functionality with CSSEdit and/or Flux. One thing that I really need to see soon though is full featured 1Passwd support. That would be outstanding. Also, some icon customization in the Preferences that would properly embed a custom icon so that it sticks post update would be great as well. [alert admin]

Freeway Pro 5.1 (Mac OS X)
I really have wanted to like Freeway and have tried it multiple times for some serious work, but I just can't use it. It is not native Mac OS X enough nor does it provide sufficient functionality. The real crown jewel right now for the all around Dreamweaver killer is Flux. I really think that The Escapees have something great in the works with that and really can change the game with what they're doing. [alert admin]

Flux 1.2.4 (Mac OS X)
Wow! This is outstanding to see that our deep desire for Rails support is being added. Bravo fellows, keep up the outstanding work and lets see some interesting innovation from an ide built entirely in Cocoa. This could prove to be quite amazing in terms of interesting and unique new capabilities in RAD. [alert admin]

ImageWell 3.5 (Mac OS X)
ImageWell was wonderful while it lasted, but with Skitch, ImageWell has gone the way of the dodo. I really enjoyed using it for the last few years and probably would keep it handy still, but I've not used it nor found the need for the past 6 months or so with Skitch in my pocket. Good luck guys! Hope you can come up with some more compelling software or features for this good old tool. [alert admin]

MindNode 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Looks like you're really getting things together with this. The one to aim for feature wise and to greatly simplify and make more intuitive is Novamind. Very good start!!! [alert admin]

ShutterBug 2.4.1 (Mac OS X)
I really wanted to like ShutterBug, however I think it still needs some work in the design aspect. There are things that need to be learned from iWeb, CSSEdit and Adobe Fireworks. I can't wait to see another full version release that could have some potential rewrite and serious feature addition. Things are just not free flow and intuitive enough yet. [alert admin]

MultiClutch Beta 5 (Mac OS X)
Likely very difficult, but with the old pads being able to accept a degree of gestures in that they can "see" two finger panning, perhaps you can hack together support for older models as well? It would sure be nice to be able to flip around Spaces based upon trackpad gestures. [alert admin]

:) Well, I disagree with the "Mac OS X" likeness. It is not like Mac OS X in the sense that it is very lacking by not being a Cocoa application. I could enumerate a number of points that really set wrong with me due to it's lack of Cocoa implementation, but I really don't need to. I'm no huge fan of Dreamweaver either as that was why I originally…

Thanks much to the author. Very responsive and friendly. The changes are very much appreciated! I certainly hope to see the UI start bending towards a more polished Cocoa/Mac OS X feel even though it is a java app. Good work.

Yes, this does look like a good release. This appears, to my eyes, to be the actual out-of-beta release of this next Parallels release as all of the others were apparently incremental refinements of the public betas culminating with this actual release of them all bundled and working in a more stable fashion.

You know, I use Teleport too and it is super, however it has a lag that really drives me crazy. It appears to pause about every 20-30 seconds. I've reported it to the developer, but no help is offered. I'm using very fast machines with a Gb wired and 802.11n wireless network and switching connection methods don't seem to affect it so it appears to be dependent upon something else.

Can't we see a resolution of this issue? I don't understand why all users wouldn't be pestering developer ad naseum until this issue is repaired and we have a fail-proof solution as well as integrated backup in place. It just befuddles me. It also bothers me that everyone here doesn't see this as a real problem.

FYI, developer, take some notes from UnRarX for rar handling. There are a few things there that would really help.

A Good Idea, But Who Will Use It?
Excellent to hear that you'll be developing this. You'll definitely want to make it a tool that will be capable of actually cross-referencing code and even perhaps showing similar chunks and really grokking your code. You may have a tall order to fill, but if you can do it, you'll have a winner. Please don't forget Ruby and perhaps integration with Textmate or Cocoa apps in general so that it could be…

Sure, it has limitations, but is handy and useful for various tasks. For example, remote control with VNC and ARD is very handy with HamachiX. It has its place and if there was an all encompassing tool that allowed both VPN-type interfaces that would be nice...
