Speed Download 5.0 (Mac OS X)

Does not work?

Mmmm. Downloaded, paid for the upgrade at Kagi, received key, installed, begun to use the thing and… it does not work. After so many happy years and upgrades? Safari spits its downloads directly on my Downloads folder (and the feature is enabled) . Am I dumb or anybody can give some advice? (Leopard 10.5.2) [alert admin]

iGuide - China Travel for iPod 3.0 (Mac OS X)

Can damage my computer?

I travel frequently in China, so I would be very interested in this software, but… When I try to open the disk image, it says that the dmg is corrupt or damaged and could damage my computer. But if I go on and open the dmg, there it is the installer. Is it safe or not? My courage does not reach the point to install the thing on my iPod. Any help, mr developer? Thanks Tiger on Intel iMac [alert admin]

ToolPlayer 0.2 (Mac OS X)

When Leopardized?

Very, very, very good application. Possibly the best sound player we have. So it is really a sad thing not having it for Leopard. When? Oooh, when? Please, developer... [alert admin]

SimplyBurns rev284 (Mac OS X)

Very, very good indeed

It seems to be a very good piece of software. In the last few days I have destroyed 5 (five!) DVDs +R DL trying to burn an image of a musical opera (7.4 GB) with Toast 8.0.1 Titanium. A real disaster (and costly, too!). With this software, on the contrary, everything went perfectly smoothly and very quickly. Many, many thanks to the developers! [alert admin]

Apple Safari 3.0.3b (Mac OS X)

Works perfectly for me

Having read the comments here and elsewhere, I was afraid about installing this version 3. But at last I did it, and I am perfectly happy. One thing, in particular: with older Safaris I could not have access to my bank account. I had to use Camino, Opera or Firefox. They all worked flawlessly, but no Safari 1, no Safari 2, God (or Jobs) knew why. I wrote a comment here about this problem, and one of the geekest among the geeks (as usual: lots of pretence, zero knowledge) rebuked me saying curtly that it was a problem with my bank, not with Safari. Okay. So this very intelligent and experienced guy could now perhaps explain me why with Safari 3 I HAVE access to my bank account. My bank DID NOT change: Safari changed. So where was the problem? Hey geek, are you still there with your blah-blah? [alert admin]

Noise Industries Units 1.0.9 (Mac OS X)

What is this?

Can anybody be so kind as to explain me what could be this thing? How and where could I possibily use it? The developer does not spend one single word. I ask again: Can anybody be so kind as to explain me what could be this thing???????? [alert admin]

ToolPlayer 0.2 (Mac OS X)

Seems very promising

But it still needs several features: drag and drop, batch playing, showing file tags... Please go on with your very good work. And many thanks for it [alert admin]

Boinx FotoMagico 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Happy about the application, but the awful Kagi...

I was a very happy registered user of vers. 1.8.1, so I decided to pay for the upgrade to vers 2. Being a registered user, the procedure embedded in the software sent me to the simply awful Kagi. The answer was that my credit card had "problems". The only existing "problems" are in the heads of people at Kagi. I informed Boinx, they answered me (very late) giving me the the Url of another place to pay my upgrade. I used the SAME credit card, the procedure went OK, i received (very late) my key for the software. Okay? Not at all. When I check my credit card statement, I see two (2) authorized requests from Kagi. Now, did not those strange people tell me that my credit card had "problems"? How could they receive two (2) authorizations if my card had "problems"? Do they sleep? Do they dream? Who knows. The only real "problem" is that I never received anything form the awful Kagi, but they have blocked 30+30=60 $ on my account, and who knows when I will be able to use them. And this happens every 2 or 3 times I am compelled to use Kagi. Please developers (all), can you dump Kagi? Many thanks [alert admin]

Firefox 2.0.0.2 (Mac OS X)

Does not see Wikipedia images only on Intel

I must correct myself and my former post. If I access Wikipedia using my PowerPC G5, I see the images okay. But if I access it using my Intel there is no way that I can see the images. There is most probably a bug which affects only Intel. [alert admin]

X11 does not open

No way. There is probably some invisible or difficult to detect preference which I do not find. Too bad. I will stick to the old universal version, which works. Many thanks for your help

'Bosnian' localization

Why not? Is not Bosnian, or Bosnan, or Bosniak a language? On Wikipedia I read: "Bosnian language (<i>bosanski jezik</i>) is a South Slavic language native to the Bosniak people". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bosnian_language

AppleJack is better...

Do not know if AppleJack is better, since I have never used MacPilot. But I totally agree that AppleJack is the best application to do easily and quickly and reliably all the maintenance routines. Great application, a real life saver

Seems very promising

Sorry, it's me again. I meant Drag and drop of folders so as to create immediate playlists. The drag of single files exists (on the icon of the application, not on the application itself when it is open, I seem to understand), and then the application goes automatically to to the following files. I repeat: very promising

Does not "see" images on Wikipedia

Lucky you, but not for me. I see them perfectly in Safari, Camino and even in old IExplorer, but not in Firefox. Who knows why
