MindNode Pro 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
MindNode Pro is a lean and easy to use mind mapping application. Want results fast? Use this. The free version is great but the pro version has some nice additional features which make it even better. This app is much more quality than the ones I tried recently. No bugs, no flaws, no glitches. Really good work!!! [alert admin]

SecretBook 4.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Seems to me like an app with some serious problems. Version 4 released, three days later the first patch, 4.0.1, with the download containing version 4.0.2 ??? What's going on? Security Problems? I don't feel I can trust this app. Some interface flaws too: You can choose an icon for a new group, but thats all, the standard field are the same for all groups. Funny, same field names for all purposes. Or you want create a new document, choose a template but then you change your mind an click cancel. The new document is created anyway. But with what settings??? Where is it saved, what password has it, and so on. PS: Don't try serials you "find" on the net, SecretBook sends home your user name via Safari. [alert admin]

Tables 1.4.5 (Mac OS X)
Tables is one of my most favourite apps. It's easy to use, fast (unlike the sloooooow Apple Numbers), lean and reliable (unlike that other app from Microsoft, regarding both lean AND reliable). The developer is most helpful and responds quickly. So keep up the good work, thanks. [alert admin]

iSoftphone 2.3102 (Mac OS X)
-> 2 seconds delay in calls, -> Dial tones very loud (despite developers assurances for a future version, which is published by now, it's not possible to lower the dial tones volume separately from the main volume), -> at every startup Apples firewall comes up again (not as with other applications) and if you don't allow incoming connections fast enough you won't hear the receiver of your call, -> every(!) call breaks up after about 35 to 36 minutes, -> and the developers mostly don't reply to eMails. These are all quite annoying flaws. Makes the programme look like some kind of hobby project, except for the price. [alert admin]

Tried it on an encrypted PDF (password protected for copying and printing, not viewing) and every time the app produced a zero kB file which wasn't recognized by any pdf reader. PDFRecover could decrypt that file by the way. So, this app seems to be a complete failure to me. (It didn't even create a plist file with its preferences.) [alert admin]

Billings 2.5.5 (Mac OS X)
Productive work in the end not possible ![]()

Billings is good at tracking time, but there are deficits in some most important things: 1. Creating fully-customizable invoices isn't that easy because there is absolutely NO documentation on creating customized invoice templates, just a poor video that explaines things you can find out by yourself in about 10 minutes. 2. There seems to be no support for technical problems. I've written several emails, used their so called support contact form, etc., never got any answer. What good is an application that can gather all necessary data for an invoice but doesn't let you create customized invoices hence you cannot send invoices to your clients? And 59 bucks is a lot of money for just a time-tracking application. [alert admin]

1.74 quits a little slowly, slower than previous versions, that's all I experienced. No serious problems on my machine whatsoever. Sort out your own problems first...
