FLV Crunch 1.3 (Mac OS X)

OUTSTANDING!!!

I tested it on some old RealAudio files, and some YouTube videos (.flv) and they were all converted so quickly and easily, I thought at first I was doing it wrong. This is software done right! [alert admin]

Mp3-Info 2.0 (Mac OS X)

Excellent!

Mp3-Info is a model for how to write an app. It provides the exact information needed in an interface which is elegant in its simplicity, and the developer is responsive to user requests. Although it's free, I was impressed enough to donate €20. Well done! [alert admin]

iStat Menus 2.0 (Mac OS X)

Thank You!

These guys are on the ball. I was going through serious withdrawal without iStat Menus. I wish all developers were this quick at making their software Snow Leopard friendly. [alert admin]

TechTool Pro 5.0.5 (Mac OS X)

Download Issue Seemingly Resolved

I too repeatedly tried to update and got dial-up download speeds. On my last attempt the download was finished within a few seconds... installed without a problem. Re: entering the serial number - It's found in the "About TechTool 5" box. Just copy to the clipboard before updating and paste when prompted. Good product. [alert admin]

Mozilla Firefox 3.5 (Mac OS X)

Impressive, but...

The Forms Autofill add on seems broken. Preference windows are chopped off with no way to adjust. This kind of makes 3.5 unusable for me until fixed. (Any suggestions?) Pros: FAST (faster than Safari), Good migration of bookmarks, etc, Seems stable, (definitely more stable than Safari 4.0.1.) Running 10.5.7 on a new 13" MacBook Pro. [alert admin]

CopyPaste Pro 2.0 (Mac OS X)

Vast Improvement!

I found the previous version of CopyPaste Pro so intrusive, I reverted to the old version. With this release, the developer has restored what was best about the old version, and added the benefits of the new. I find the new interface much more user friendly and generally useful. [alert admin]

VueScan 8.4.92 (Mac OS X)

Absolutely Brilliant!

I've been using this for years. In my applications folder, VueScan is alone in NEVER having caused problems for me. It's also alone in being worth every penny of the license. I can't count the number of improvements included in the upgrades over the years, but my scans keep getting better and better. I recommend it without reservation. If I buy a new scanner, I'll first check to see if it's supported. [alert admin]
