Saft 7.4.0 (Mac OS X)
Not quite a stable product yet? ![]()

I was pretty excited about the product's features and the good reviews it had received, so I decided to kill the increasingly annoying purchase reminder and buy the thing (about two weeks ago). I've been using it in Safari every day since.
The sidebar is really cool, and I like the concept of crash protection, but here's the thing...Safari never really crashed much UNTIL I installed Saft.
I'm online several hours every day, and since installing Saft, there has been a very noticeable decrease in Safari's performance. It is slow, I'm seeing the spinning beach ball more often than ever, and the program now crashes several times a day.
I'm uninstalling Saft today, and will wait for the next version; this one is too unstable for me. Hopefully the developer will keep plugging away. [alert admin]

IBM ViaVoice 3.0.2 (Mac OS X)
Due to a spinal cord injury, my hands do not work. Obviously, typing is difficult, especially extended word processing. I use my computer 8-10 hours/day for work, email, etc., and frequently need to type more than a few lines. So, Viavoice seems to be the obvious choice for me. I have owned viavoice and each upgrade since the first version. Despite updates, this program has never worked well on OS X. On a few occasions I have gotten it to operate briefly, but usually it crashes, fails to open, does not respond, or dissappoints me in some other way. Training the program is a long process, and the fact that I cannot use it now is ridiculous. I consider myself a mac expert, and use many programs. I have never been more frustrated with a program than I am with this one. Support is poor, and updaters are few—and don't help. Save your money and more importantly your time—don't buy this program.. Swift 3D 4.0 (Mac OS X)
Swift is a cool progam with potential, but is VERY BUGGY. It crashes frequently--several times each use.
The interface needs serious work. Unless you have two monitors, there is barely room to work.
It does not accept most fonts, making it difficult to incorporate text, especially since .ai and .eps files do not usually import correctly--importing usually causes a crash.
the UNDO function usually does not work as expected or crashes the program.
Overall, I hope these bugs are fixed, as swift could be a good program for me.

This database will no longer be able to work with SOHO Notes 6.x. However, before SOHO Notes 7.x converts the database it will automatically create a backup of your database and save it in the following directory: ~/Library/Application Support/Chronos/Previous Version Backups/ Locate this backup and move it to…
