DTV 1.0b1 (Mac OS X)

awesome!

Yes, it's a first release Beta, but as a 'first of type' software, this is awesome. It installed and ran perfectly on my emac/tiger. I found the interface intuitive, downloads fast, and the video quality (depending on the clip) excellent. Some downloads didn't start, but that should improve as more users create bittorrent streams. I'd also like to see some minor interface improvements, but this is beta! I can't wait to see this take hold. I am sure it will!! [alert admin]

SilverFast SE for PIE 6.1.0r05 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

why would you bother?

The new PIE 1800 driver from scanace is fully OSX/Photoshop compatible. The quality is there if you take a bit of time to tweak settings and it's FREE! Sure, no fancy stuff like batching, but we're talking about a scanner that probably only cost you $us250 new! [alert admin]

PrimeFilm 1800 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Oh I've waited…

for this... Sadly, this Photoshop Plug-in did not do it for me. Scan quality is back to worse than the very first versions of the OS9 drivers. It does work and the interface is improved, so it gets 2 stars. The rest will come when they fix up the scan quality again. BTW: Shadowww - 10.2.4 / PS 7 / iMac 400 - all worked. I got that error msg when I forgot to plug in the scanner. [alert admin]

Kensington MouseWorks 2.2b2 (Mac OS X)

Works fine, although…

not new this update I love the application menu - saves me many mouse miles. The click/drag delay is a problem and does not show up with the apple pro mouse I have hooked up to the same machine (DP867/jag). [alert admin]

SilverFast is a work Horse

you've gotta wonder if this person is using the same software! I've always found Silverfast an absolute dog to use, though the results were good enough... user-friendly...? NOT!
