One example for use: Sharing a wireless connection in a hotel room. My brother uses a Windoze laptop; I use a Mac. Often times the wireless connection is limited to the particular MAC address of the laptop that first signs on; the other user is not able to logon unless we accept getting charged twice for using the same connection (2 MACs identified = 2 room charges).
