Submerge 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Can't get it to work correctly
Whatever encoding I try, German umlauts never show up in the subtitles (I created the .srt file as plain text using TextEdit). Also, if I enter two lines they appear in reverse order. [alert admin]

Apple Safari 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Safari still chokes on http://www.gis.zh.ch/gb4/bluevari/gb.asp (works like a charm in Firefox). Waiting for version 2.0.2... [alert admin]

Calcline 1.0 (Mac OS X)
I crashed the app in record time by just hitting three keys: 2, e, Return. It became immediately unresponsive and I had to kill it. Not acceptable in a $20, version 1.0 program. [alert admin]

Delicious Library 1.5 (Mac OS X)
Dashboard widget, spotlight integration, library export not working
I concur with other people - the Dashboard Widget remains always empty, Delicious Library items don't appear in Spotlight (even though the metadata folder is populated). Also, library export doesn't do anything, no file is created. Sometimes it even crashes the application. This is on a PowerMac Dual-G5, 2.5GHz, 2GB RAM, German language. [alert admin]

Mail EnScrypt 1.03 (Mac OS X)
Seems to work OK, but doesn't handle foreign characters like German umlauts correctly. [alert admin]

Apple iMovie HD 5.0.2 (Mac OS X)
Still can't use my Sony PC-110 camera as a Video-to-FireWire converter. Works perfectly in iMovie 4. Unbelievable. [alert admin]

Sizerox 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
I dragged a folder containing six images and another folder on the application icon. Sizerox crashed with "An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled.". Then I dragged a single image to the application window and clicked "Resize". Sizerox became completely unresponsive and I had to force quit. Never got a resized or renamed image. BTW, "Prefrences" is usually written "Preferences". [alert admin]

Taply 1.2 (Mac OS X)
Incorrect playback of mp3 file
I fed an MP3 audio file (96kbit/s, 22kHz sample rate) containing spoken text to Taply, and it sounded like Mickey Mouse. [alert admin]

Rondo .8 (Mac OS X)
Ever since I had to stop using Arnold's MIDI player under OS9, I've been looking for a decent MIDI player. This might as well be it. Refreshingly new look and feel, nicely done. Worked without a hitch with my external MIDI devices. [alert admin]

MP3 Rage 5.8.2 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Installed version 5.8.2. Then, whenever I tried to change an ID3 tag from version 2.2.0 to 2.3.0, I got an error message. Now I'm back to version 5.8.1 and everything works fine. [alert admin]

Runs perfectly on my 10.4.3. Of course it doesn't "open", since Sudokut is a command line program. Just open a terminal window, drag Sudokut into it and type in your Sudoku puzzle. Start at the top-left square, entering the numbers row by row. Use a dot for empty squares. Then hit return and see the solved puzzle. Sudokut just solved today's newspaper puzzle in 0.185 seconds (as opposed to the 15 minutes it cost me).

What are you talking about? The site works perfectly in Mozilla (and Firefox), only Safari can't handle it.

You don't have to work in real-time - just select "Off" in the sound output section. Unfortunately, the developer got the user interface wrong here. The checkboxes should be two sets of radio buttons.

I absolutely love the Capture widget (http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/dashboard/capture.html). Just hit F12 and do your screenshot, fullscreen, window, region, with or without Dashboard layer. (No opened menus, though.) Very nice and free.

Mostly fixed: Dashboard widget, spotlight integration, library export
Thanks to the great developer's support, most problems have been fixed. Dashboard and Spotlight now work as expected; library export, however, fails on non-English Macs (German in this case). A fix is in the works. To make Dashboard and Spotlight integration work, be sure to remove any extra copies of Delicious Library. I had two additional copies for backup purposes on separate volumes. Converting them to ZIP files solved the problems, after deleting the contents of…

Well, version 5.8.3 still doesn't fix the error introduced in 5.8.2 (see below). Seems I'm stuck with 5.8.1 forever.
