Cyberduck 3.1.1 (Mac OS X)
Worked fine and is working fine ![]()

I use it for a long time right now and have never experienced a problem (I trashed another (paid!) FTP client because it didn‘t do its job as Cyberduck does). I need it for both internal as well as external FTP transfers — it satisfies all my needs and is easy to use. For this reason I donated to the developer mid of 2007. He did and does a good job! Apple Java for OS X 10.5 Update 2 (Mac OS X)
As Apple states in the release notes, 1.6 is supported on 64-Bit Intel Macs only. This says, that Apple does not support other Apple-architectures anymore: We cannot expect Java-developpers to downgrade for all the future to 1.5 for just one specific OS. We‘ll loose viable applications due to the lack of support from Apple. A remark to “used for less than a month": I‘d like to use 1.6, but I cannot since it doesn‘t exist for most of my machines. 1.5 works so far - but it‘s not an excellent implementation, too. I have to replace a publishing app, which is no longer supported for the Mac platform, so I tried every app, which was available for a reasonable fee - I don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars for a single app with millions of (unneeded) features. This app has the features I need and provides the required CYMK output for print. I could finish a couple of real tasks during the evaluation period, I could do everything I wanted to do -— and save it in the desired format, ready to go. I think the registration fee is a good investment -— for me it’s the app to create everything between a business card and a poster. [alert admin]

WireTap Studio 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Good to Know for WireTap Pro Users
I used Wiretap Pro - and now I'm learning, this app has been replaced by Studio - for another 30 Dollars. I was considering upgrading, but now I'm looking elsewhere - especially since I own already another audio-editor, the main feature I need is just recording. [alert admin]

Canvas X.0.2 (Mac OS X)
Now it seems to be definitely dead - it does not install on a clean 10.5 OS installation. It used to be a good product - but right now it's done. I'm searching for an application in order to be able to read my Canvas documents... [alert admin]

Guest PC 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
For me it works fine, and since this bug fix for the network I can also access all data from OSX — the only thing I‘m missing is the support for serial adapters. I hope it‘s growing... [alert admin]

iVCD 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
The demo mode is pretty useless; it‘s supposed to „Authors Video CDs (VCDs) and Super Video CDs(SVCD), overlaid with watermark.“ — but I‘ve got the watermark only as long as my movie should be; I tried it several times with different sources and settings. That‘s not a basis for a real decision - or maybe it is: I removed it. [alert admin]

Forty-Two DVD-VX Plus 1.5.5 (Mac OS X)
I had the same problem after a clean install of Panther, but I've got an answer to my e-mail just after a few hours. Most interesting is, that they recommended to back-up the preferences before wiping the hard disk in order to keep the registration info. [alert admin]

Good to Know for WireTap Pro Users
Thanks a lot @moki for the link - I had never discovered this page on the Ambrosia-website without this link ... It's really misleading - on start-up, WireTap Pro directs for a new version to the WireTap Studio download; and there’s no direct link to the WireTap Pro page on the website - at least I couldn’t find any hint on a WireTap Pro update. Now everything is working fine again -— it shows that Ambrosia supports…
