smcFanControl 2.2.2 (Mac OS X)

Just what I needed!

Been working great for some time now. A "must have" when burning a dual layer during the summer and your air conditioner is not working! Never had any problems from install to daily usage. I now have it set to start-up when I log on. I'm on Intel with 10.5.7 now. If your having problems with over heating, even to the point where your computer shuts down, clean out your fan vents and use this software. Can't beat the price. FREE. [alert admin]

Torrent Station 1.1 (Mac OS X)

Same here...

Yes... I just have to add my 2 cents worth too. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a torrent client that was trying to charge money. DON'T DO IT. Just a bunch of scammers from Germany. projectN1 Deutschordensstr. 6 51067 Cologne Germany [alert admin]

MPEG2Works 3.5.4 (Mac OS X)

Not working for me...

Just wanted to convert PAL .VOB to NTSC .VOB files and all I ever got was AppleScript errors. Searched the forums provided and saw the answers were to get unlinked missing codecs or to split the files smaller. Don't think I'll pay $10 to get a non-operational or imcomplete app. (at least for my purposes). Not interested in spending any more than 4 hours trying to get this thing to work. Sounds promising though. Let me know when this app. is ready for public release. [alert admin]

Not working for me...

Been to the forums. All over the forums. It would seem that some people got it to work. The answers to getting the app. to work require hours of reading and knowledge of complex settings. Do you know what kind of sound files your VOB's have? Not a clue. Just know I have a standard PAL DVD with the standard IFO, BUP and VOB files in it. I just want to convert it to NTSC…
