DiskWarrior 4.1 (Mac OS X)
Free update to fine utility! Very east to follow instructions on how to make CD. Ran and found just two errors. I did run on LaCie back up that is using Time Machine many errors so I did not replace directory. My fear? DiskWarrior is still the best... [alert admin]

Apple AirPort 5.3.1 (Mac OS X)
I downloaded for 10.5.2 and had to set up my base station all over. I went to Speakesay and there in speed difference. An hour wasted doing two computers. If all is working well do not use this, unless there is a major update from Apple coming? That is why I did this ‘just in case’ I would recommed this update,for that reason. [alert admin]

Yasu 2.5.4 (Mac OS X)
Yasu does what it says it does. I do not let check permissions,that is disk utilities thing. Application do start faster after Yasu is done. It works and that is enough for me. [alert admin]

I just purchased VirusBarrier X4 and now a paid update! I like at least knowing I have some protection. So is X4 obsolete and no more virus updates? [alert admin]

I have used NetBarrier X4 for a long time and paid for updates,but this to much. Yearly fee plus update fees. It is cheaper to but an AirPort Extreme base station in the long run Apple updates firmware for free. I-Mac 2.8 [alert admin]

I downloaded from developers site. When I tried to run application it froze computer and I had to manually restart. [Use button] I-Mac 2.8 OS 10.5.1 [alert admin]

Firefox 2.0.0.9 (Mac OS X)
After installing 10.5 and Firefox would not start. I just thought , OK a fix will be out no big deal. Now that a new version is out and I downloded it, with great anticipation. Still does not load. Netscape works fine, Safari great, but Firefox is a dud. Sad I used Firefox as my fast browser that would always work and go to. I-Mac 2.8 and FIOS 15/5 [alert admin]

I have bith VB.NB both work great. The new NB 5x is far easier to configure and comes with Wash Machine to clean up all online history 6x over.

seriously irritating upgrade policy
I could not agree more. I have Virus Barrier and Net Barrier both now have updates that COST. I just bought them in the fall. [2007] Is this what we have to look forward to as the market declines? Maybe that is why Linux is so popular.

This is new 24 2.8 I-Mac and several time right on the screen there is a message hard Drive I run 10.5 disk and it goes away for awhile then comes back. What is made for 10.5 at this point to check for bad blocks? TT Pro did a good job on 10.4x - This happened on an old G-4 and I ran from the back drive for months. Time Machine does not do that.

I have use Norton and what a waste. VirusBarrier just works. What is one to do if a product is good? Yes keep it. I also use NetBarrier now this GREAT so may stopped intrusions I have to clear the list at times. Port Scans.Ping Flooding,etc. I have had questions and they have always returned my mail within 24 hours.
