MT-NewsWatcher 3.5.2 (Mac OS X)

*Almost* perfect... but chokes on some images  

I've been using Newswatcher in its various incarnations for years, and am impressed with its quality--especially considering the price! The expansion of its mail functions in 3.5.2 to handle more modern servers solved a problem for which I'd been forced to use cumbersome workarounds for ages. Now just one item remains on my "please fix" list. I browse a lot of anime newsgroups. Some class of image found in them breaks MT-NW's built in viewer--the display routine simply bails, resulting in the display of a blank image. But other images display just fine. I haven't any theory yet about what characterizes the troublesome images. If it would be useful to you, I could investigate further. Nemo 0.7.166 (Mac OS X)

Needs to support yEnc decoding  

Like the title says. Much of my Usenet browsing is of image groups (the various *.anime groups in particular), and if a newsreader doesn't decode and display images, it's not of much use to me. (Also, you should have a native speaker of English review the copy both in Nemo and on your web site. I mean this as friendly advice. :-)) [alert admin]
