Sudoku Generator 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)
I was looking for a Sudoku for a publication I layout and came across this plugin. It does everything that I want to do. Quick installation (drop the plugin into InDesign Plugin folder and open up the provided template. Not much easier than that. (I'm running InDesign CS on an original eMac). And it's free! I'm not too keen on exclaimation marks, but AbiWord has done it: a successful (and usable) GNU Free word processor that can replace your ol' copy of Appleworks or MS Word 98. I was hoping that OpenOffice's (open source) port to a native Mac app would have been quicker, but their task is indeed huge. The folks on the Mac port side at AbiWord have done an wonderful job for the Mac community. Kudos to you! [alert admin]

The other reviewers have it right on this: it is slow and buggy. I even had a difficult time quitting the program as I got an error message. I'm always looking for a small editor for writing and this one seems to mimic others such as Ulysses that focus more on the writing and less on the word processing. BookWorm's programing gets in the way of that creative process and I also hope that the author will release a cleaner version of this software. [alert admin]

I like version 4, but I concur the writer: this should have been a free upgrade. Perhaps it's timing. It seems that version 3 just came out and we were getting used the interface and I think, really being impressed with something that is actually very helpful. And then (or at least to the average user) another version comes along at a price (roughly 2/3 of the cost). Timing I think is the sore spot here.…

It does seem that the price went up $10 since I purchased it in 2003...but if you like to make word puzzles for the classroom or your own children, it is a very good program with a refreshing interface.
