MacroKey 4.0 (Mac OS X)
If someone click on the "developers page" link, would find that the file starts downloading directly instead of showing any web page... I didn't try to open it, (and I won't) but I imagine it would ask for admin permission, and the developer isn't showing anything about the app neither him/her self : I agree, it's more than a little suspicious... Apple iLife '06 (Mac OS X)
Homepage IS still "free" for .Mac users
Although I agree that Apple should have an upgrade policy at lower rates, at least for those who purchased the pack (even more a family pack) and maybe even .Mac users, I think this is not reason to tell something that is, at least, untrue... I don't have yet iLife'06 (Spanish versions to be distributed in February, like second class users... :-( , but that's another thing ) But I'm still able to build and modify my homepage pages, so , homepage is, (if one might call free paying at least 99$ a year) still free for .Mac users, albeit now is not as easy as before to arrive to homepage, (now if you click to "create your pages" you get a page for iWeb, suggesting you to buy iLife'06). One must go straight through the upper bar... Next time, maybe you should double check things before writing a review... [alert admin]

EyeTV 2.0 (Mac OS X)
I just bough this new version to see if it fixes a couple of bugs the other version had, and the first thing I've found is that I can't record live anymore, too much money to find that out.... (although it record finely those scheduled with version 1.8.x- and even got the subtitle from the recorded tv program!!), the new features are very welcome but the interface seems a bit confusing (albeit it might just be I'm not yet used to it... honestly , not sure of this...) And the new aplication icon is really awful... [alert admin]

Marquee 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)
It should say "widged for USA local movie times" , since there's no explicit indication that versiontracker is a US-only site (in fact I didn't found any restriction for the language of the soft either, so why should we assume that all soft here is USA-only?). It would be much nicer if the developer could implement the posiblility to adapt to other countries , but I understand that shoudn't be easy. That said, I found quite disapointing that after so many comments about it, the developer don't care even to include three caracters (USA) in the description, so that the rest of the world (we do exist) don't waist our time with something is completely useless for us. cocoAspell 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Thanks, Thanks and Thanks... Did I said Thanks? For us who's language isn't directly supported by the system, thats an essential tool. Actually, I know many people that didn't upgraded to Tiger yet due to the lack of this great tool's compatibility... [alert admin]

CoolBackground 2.5 (Mac OS X)
No way to download the file...
The link bring to a blank page... A real petty, I was wondering how it may work in my new iMacG5 20" (and also curious to see if the localizations of older versions still work - specially Catalan ;-) [alert admin]

well, I really don't know how it could manage the widgets if they don't even appear where the widget list is supposed to be.... I just get a preference window without any witget listed (of 45 that I have) It's a nice idea, but , since it doesn't work for me I can't really rate it well... [alert admin]

Amnesty Widget Browser 0.60b (Mac OS X)
with 0.60 as with 0.55, it just open quickly a blank window that close at once...(saying something like "quick amnesty reference, or so , but too fast to let me read it close itself) iMac G5 20" 250HD 2gb ram (naturally, with Tiger). Although it's useless for me at the moment I'll wait further versions to rate it... [alert admin]

Sogudi 0.3b (Mac OS X)
>"What's wrong with bookmarking the sites?, putting them in the Safari Bookmarks Bar with a short descriptor and then accessing via your keyboard (Command-1 for bookmark #1; Command-2; etc.)" Well, do you really can limit your Bookmarks bar to 9 bookmarks? otherwise, how do you make (command-10 or command-15?) I hadn't time to use Sogudi, but I can see it make sense for many users [alert admin]

This is Really A Major DOWNgrade
I agree with nearly everything except for what you say that it work, sorry but it only work sometimes, you can't rely on it for scheduled recordings because sometimes it works and some not... and sometimes the record button work, but other times there's no way...

Well, if you judge a software by the mother tongue of the developer then you better buy a rubbish that doesn't work at all but is made in the USA. I have to say first of all that I have nothing to do with the developer I just read about them some minutes ago, time enough to check their page to see what this person is writing about... for your knowledge, CHF are Swiss Francs…
