BGBlitz 2.6.2 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
Very good Backgammon implementation! The KI is extremely strong and plays better than every human. The tutor will help you to find the best move and improve your skills. Any other app without an artificial intelligence plays only at a beginner or intermediate level. [alert admin]

BGBlitz X 2.6.2 (Mac OS X)
Very good Backgammon implementation! The KI is extremely strong, like Snowie and GnuBG, but much easier to install and runs on different OS. The tutor will help you to find the best move and improve your skills. Forget any other app without an artificial intelligence. Their skills are more on a beginner level. [alert admin]

Absolute Backgammon 4.0.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
I'm not a competitor. I'm a backgammon player. I have no connection to any of those programmers! But I will not use a program that has so many bugs that a new update is published every couple of days. I would still use Windows if I wouldn't care about quality. And I better don't start about the game strength. The BG progs here are all shareware. Download and compare yourself which one is better! A good source for independent reviews are also available from Backgammon sites. See for yourself and don't trust versiontracker comments. [alert admin]

BGBlitz is a world class player and the tutor a great tool to improve your skill. It's also the only tool to convert between the different match-formats. This and it's many other features makes it the swiss army knife of Backgammon and an indispensable tool for any serious Backgammon player. [alert admin]

Absolute Backgammon 4.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Easy to play - too easy to win! Nice features but no neural net or tutor to improve your skill. Only good for casual players. [alert admin]
