Apple Mac OS X 10.5.2 (Mac OS X)
After the 10.5.2 update, and following graphic update, Activity Monitor pie graph showed most of my 4 Gigs of RAM used (depicted as Inactive - blue), which was very strange. So, I shut down completely. Then upon reboot, my RAM was back and available (in green). In fact, now it is strange that after launching numerous applications there is still not any blue "Inactive" RAM on the pie graph. Something must be going on with this. But the OS seems to work fine! Move Items X 1.6.1 (Mac OS X)
Has been great for years! Any Leopard update? ![]()

This has been indispensable for years, being able to just right-click on a file and move it wherever I want, or to any of my designated favorite folders. This used to be the only game in town. Now, there is competition with freeware Folder Glance which is similar and seems to work on Leopard fine, so perhaps the developer will update for Leopard and drop the price or make freeware. PDFProtect 2.0 (Mac OS X)
I am still evaluating, but I tried it on one protected file that I had forgotten the password for, and it removed the protection. Have not tried any other features. [alert admin]

Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.0 (Mac OS X)
Just upgraded to Acrobat 8 Professional from 6 Pro, and it was worth it just for the fast launch time! Definitely a major upgrade, and looks great. Only used it for one day so far, but has many new features and a much improved feel. [alert admin]

Hostal 1.3.5 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Use Safari's activity window to see where the ads are coming from, then use Hostal to block those domains. Web pages clean up great! Contrary to the user manual, it does not appear you need to restart your Mac under OS X for the changes to take effect. Perhaps just clear the cache or restart your browser. [alert admin]

InTouch With 3.0 (Mac OS X)
I use InTouchWith as a simple database for my business files. Put file number and name in the top line of the top pane, file description on the bottom pane. Assign client to file using groups. Easy to sort and search. Thanks for OS X update! [alert admin]

I had the crash problem with Acrobat 8 on my iBook. I ended up trashing all the preference files, application support files, and the cache files, pertaining to acrobat. That solved it for me.
