Google Notifier 1.9.97 (Mac OS X)
i don't get it. many times a day now it just simply stops working. Sure the menu bar is active and the submenu appears, but when I click on any of the menu items to open Gmail NOTHING HAPPENS. Select "Go to Inbox": NOTHING HAPPENS. Select "Compose Email": NOTHING HAPPENS. Select one of the unread messages... you get the picture. I have to quit Google Notifier and relaunch it several times a day. Is it a Firefox issue? I'm running 2.0.0.3. The odd thing is that it works SOMETIMES, so I'm wondering what all of a sudden stops it from working? [alert admin]

I posted a little video demonstration on how you can copy the nice Firefoxy form widgets into Firefox 2.0. It's easy as pie.

BBEdit 8.5.1 (Mac OS X)
not sure how BareBones let this get out the door but 8.5 (and 8.5.1) is a buggy mess. stick with 8.2.6 or check out TextMate. [alert admin]

buckdoe said it all... Merlin2 is *the* PM tool on the Mac ![]()

Been using the Merlin2 beta for about 2 weeks now and I am very happy that I don't have to switch over to my PC for any MS Project related work. It's not a perfect process as I have to ask my clients/colleagues' to send me the Project files as XML in order for Merlin to recognize them (unfortunately Merlin can't seem to open native .mpp Project files). Other than this drawback, Merlin is a pleasure to use and to look at. GUIs don't get much nicer, especially when you consider the subject matter (project management? ewwww...). I really hope the developers can fix/enhance the MS Project compatibility so that it's not so arduous. It's the only thing holding Merlin back from 5 stars. [alert admin]

WindowShade X 4.0.2 (Mac OS X)
why is it taking so long for WindowShade X to be made Universal??? The beta 4.03b does not work well with Firefox. They haven't given a clue as to when a working version will be released. lousy, lousy, lousy. [alert admin]

how difficult is it to score Golf?
does this mean one needs to lug around a laptop while playing Golf? [alert admin]

WindowShade X 4.0.2 (Mac OS X)
Still no Universal Binary - can't use on new Macs
I don't understand what's taking Unsanity so long to update their apps. Neither WindowShade or FruitMenu has been updated yet so anyone upgrading an Intel Mac is out of luck. Come one Unsanity! Let's get a move on! [alert admin]

Camino 1.0rc1 (Mac OS X)
On a whim I decided to download Camino - perhaps out of nostalgia as I used to use it in the early days of OS X. I was absolutely FLOORED when I checked out some of my frequent sites and saw the pages load INSTANTANEOUSLY. Simply unbelievable. Sure it doesn't have all the cool extensions that Firefox has, but man is this thing fast! If the web developer extension ever got ported to Camino I would drop Firefox in a hearbeat. I don't know how these guys did it, but I sure wish they'd help the guys working on Firefox and Safari. [alert admin]

i agree 100%. i'm having the same problems and 1.5.0.2 is completely unusable - especially if you rely on it for web development. Reverting to 1.5.0.1 is the only option.

i definitely agree that I MUCH preferred the queue window being a drawer for the simple reason that the window almost always is covered by another window and I have to manually make it active and bring it to the front. When the queue was a drawer it was always visible and made much better UI sense because of this. why should one have to constantly make it active? at the very least if you're set…

hey, before you shout "bug" you really should take a look at your Tranmit preferences. Right there on the first (General) tab is the preference for "Double Click Action" which you can set to "Edit in External Editor". Chances are 3.2 may not be reading the setting from earlier versions but I'd hardly call it a bug since you can resolve it by simply going to your preferences! good luck!

yes this is how i have been doing it ever since that one big loss. it's an incredible pain in the ass and could be rectified so easily if only Panic would include the keep-alive function that all other FTP apps have. However the workaround you mention does NOT help when you've already closed the document after saving it (with the assumption that Transmit has saved it and uploaded it). So you have to be…
