Vocal Lab 2.0 (Mac OS X)
I will pay for this when I can resize the graph (pulling it lengthwise to get more info on the screen), and I can save an entire readout (as opposed to just being able to copy only what's on the screen at any given time...to the clipboard). For my purposes, I'd like to be able to play into it for awhile with the graph scrolling, then be able to see the entire session, and maybe save it in PDF form or something like that...not just look at a partial snapshot saved to the clipboard. It would be nice if it would save pdf's or whatever to a specified folder. Nice idea. If it suits your purposes, it works very well. My suggestions may not represent the intent of the developer, or other users, but it would make this much more useful to me. Thanks- [alert admin]

Air America Receiver 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Thanks for the convenient little doohickie. Groovy...but ONE QUESTION (which doesn't apply to your software directly, but I hope someone can help me). Prior to updating REALPLAYER a few weeks ago, I would click on your icon and instantly get Air America. Since I updated the player, now when I click on the icon I download a file, then have to click on the file. I've got cookies enabled and all that, but I can't seem to figure out why it doesn't behave like the old player. Maybe I inadvertently changed something along the way, as friends of mine say it works exactly as it always did. Am I missing something obvious in preferences? Thanks. This is a nice little thing to have on the desktop. [alert admin]

PresentMovie 1.5b1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
I've used the previous version since it was released and this thing is stable, reliable and more intuitive than any others I've tried. I've downloaded many apps in it's "price range" all along (as I checked VT for an update of this). Several have come and gone, but PresentMovie has always been there when I needed it. As I downloaded this new version, I searched and found that I had about 7 copies in different folders, so I could just go to the folder and click on the copy's icon. Now that is cool. Sometimes I think it would be helpful if it played nice with .mpeg file extensions (like QT itself does...I don't know much about it...maybe that's an incorrect extesion to begin with)...although change those extensions to .mpg and you're back in business. Outstanding job on this one friend! [alert admin]

Virex 7 DAT 040129 (Mac OS X)
Virex suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks bad...
Maybe I'll find mention of this in an earlier post (I'll get there), but... This sucks bad. How come I always find these updates here, when my virex (yeah yeah, the .mac thing) checks everyday...in fact it's checking now and there are NO UPDATES...? If there were danger of virus attacks, and I'm not holding my breath or losing sleep over this, believe me...then how effective would this crappy software be. Not only do they update it about once every 6 six weeks or so, but then THEIR OWN SOFTWARE is the last to know about it!!! McAfee is the lamest there is, and it always has been. When my friend got a Dell a couple years ago (haw haaaaw!) she couldn't figure out how to update the Crapofee software. Turns out you had to GO TO THE SITE and LOOK FOR UPDATES, then DOWNLOAD THEM MANUALLY, then INSTALL THEM MANUALLY. Effective, no? [alert admin]

Amazing Slow Downer 2.6.4 (Mac OS X)
Thanks for the Safari info. I feel like an idiot, the solution seems obvious now. This is great software, due in part to a very logical, simple, stable and responsive interface. Thanks- [alert admin]

Amazing Slow Downer 2.6.4 (Mac OS X)
As of this moment, unless there's something freaky going on that I don't understand, this link, and the link from the product's own site, are for 2.6.3. The company emailed to say they fixed it, and there's the last post saying that it works now. Maybe for you it works now, but it doesn't work now for me, unless version 2.6.4 is labeled version 2.6.3 and all the accompanying files are dated around the time of the last update. Something is STILL wrong here...any ideas? I've erased every instance of this software from my HD, and each time I download the installer, the download window shows it's size as 0, yet it's the right size file that I actually end up with. Just the wrong version. What does this mean? [alert admin]

Windows Media Player 9.0 (Mac OS X)
This player and format are lame lame lame. I will say that the player seems slightly more stable than the last version (you know, the one that came out around 1982 or something). Now at least you can change the volume or even resize the window...and sometimes it doesn't even freeze up the player...sometimes. [alert admin]
