VersionTracker Pro 4.1 (Mac OS X)
I was hoping to use VT Pro to stay up to date as new universal versions come out, but it doesn't really work half of the time. I mostly have to find updates myself anyway, it's really slow and it crashes quite a bit. Besides that I haven't found a way to ignore an application completely. Right clicking doesn't do it, skip version only skips one version and I do have a lot of apps that I don't want to upgrade at all - ever. It's really annoying to have to skip them manually or ignore them. I don't think this is worth the money at all :( [alert admin]

Monolingual 1.3.2 (Mac OS X)
Too bad I trusted the star ratings for this version of the app as I downloaded it through VT Pro. I now have no Rosetta on my MacBook and will have to reinstall my MacBook. This will cost me a huge amount of downtime - time that I cannot afford right now. DO NOT USE THIS on an Intel Mac. It cannot be stressed enough. [alert admin]

X-Chat Aqua 0.14.0 (Mac OS X)
I can't for the life of my figure out how to configure X-Chat Aqua to the iso 8859-1 that I need for most IRC channels. I even tried looking through the configuration text file, but didn't have any luck. Too bad, because it's looking pretty nice now. Still no AmIRC, but slowly getting there :-) [alert admin]

WebCam2FTP 1.0a2 (Mac OS X)
This is really nice. But it would help a lot with some basic documentation. Once I figured out that you just have to enter the full path in the top field in preferences it worked. For the curious: ftp://yoursitehere.com/public_html/cam.jpg would work for instance. [alert admin]

Drop2DV 1.0c (Mac OS X)
The program was looking for /tmp/Drap2DV1 but the file is of course called /tmp/Drop2DV1. Easiest fix was renaming the file in /tmp [alert admin]

Folder Player 1.4.5 (Mac OS X)
This is a great little addition to iTunes or whatever else you might use as a main mp3 player. I wish it could add folders recursively though. Still, any app that has Pennywise in its screenshots deserves being checked out :) [alert admin]

Directors Boards Free 1.1c (Mac OS X)
This is really, really great software for storyboarding. Combined with Final Draft I have everything I need to get an overview of what is needed. I was a bit confused by image import not working in overview mode, but it works in shot mode. That's the only problem I've had so far. [alert admin]

aMSN 0.90 (Mac OS X)
I couldn't send files, but received them just fine. I was also able to see other people's pictures. I couldn't actually add a contact though unless they wrote me first. I guess that's a bit of a bummer. Also some windows open in strange places.. like the online-notification - that pops up behind my dock. Not so useful. But it's still nice and I think it'll replace the official MSN client for the extra features - for the few people I haven't convinced to switch to AIM / latest ICQ ;) [alert admin]

Look, it's fair enough that you prefer MPlayer. Both players have their advantages. But at least check out the documentation - or failing that: the menus. VLC has a more advanced back/forth control using the keyboard than MPlayer has.

Pennywise makes some of the most remarkable and though provoking music today. Something which is sorely needed in a world where freedom is the freedom to be afraid and countries are run by barely trained monkeys.
