WakeOnLan 0.70 (Mac OS X)
I've been using this software for some time now and it's great. It's not anything amazing or anything but it does wat it promises and it does it well. The Dashboard widget makes it even easier to use. Works fine on my Intel MacBook. [alert admin]

MilkyWay 1.4 (Mac OS X)
I think this app is just wonderful, it look great and is faster that starting Preview. It add's a nice mirror effect too wich will surely impress your non OS X friends. The only thing I'd like to see changed is that the app remains in the dock. This kind of app should not appear in dock, it clutters too much and has no use to be there. Instead make it a background app with maybe a pereference pane. Keep up the good work though. [alert admin]

Flip4Mac WMV 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Always nice to see developers fix problems so fast, very nice only just after the new QT release. Very nice plugin, works fine with most files. Also very nice that it's free now, I believe we have MS to thank for that. [alert admin]

FinderCleaner 1.8 (Mac OS X)
As I replied to an earlier post the slowness is probably due to the fact that your password has to be retrieved from the keychain. This is by far the most resource heavy thing the program has to do. It probably varies per system how fast this is. On my iBook G4 1.2GHz it took 4.5 seconds after the dock icon stopped bouncing until I could choose a folder. Full launch time was 8.6 seconds before I could do anything. That's not exectly very slow by my standards but it might be slower on other systems. I appreciate the mention of this issue and I'll try to do something about it. I'll at least include an option not to use the keychain as it could be faster in some cases. [alert admin]

FinderCleaner 1.6 (Mac OS X)
It should work in 10.4.3 as well
I tested it as soon as 10.4.3 came out and on my machine it seems to work fine. Apple did make some changes to some Applescript commands I use but they seem to be performance changes only so it shouldn't matter for the app itself. I was told today it doesn't work in 10.2 Jaguar. I've never had complaints about that before so I guess most people dont't use jaguar anymore but I'll fix it anyway. [alert admin]

I actually started working on a simmilar app about six months ago but I couldn't find the time to finsh it. It's actually about 99% the same as what I had in mind. This is app works great and works perfectly with my usb mp3 player, I'll try it with my SE k750i as well but I see no reason why it wouldn't work as nice too. It's very complete and altough I don't use them the podcast feature is very nice. High quality software. The only thing I would have done differently is the destination folder part as it is a bit limited as it will only go 4 levels deep. But I have to say this works fine and I guess there won't be any real life problems with it so this is probably a better choice then a choose folder dialog box. As long as this will be free I won't go on with my app as this is already very complete. If you decide to make us pay for it you can count on some heavy competition though ;) [alert admin]

FinderCleaner 1.3 (Mac OS X)
Where did you get the idea that I developed the Tiger upgrade without Tiger? I didn't have Tiger when it was released but I have it right now and made this version with it. The things I had to do to fix the code for Tiger and at the same time keep it working for systems prior to 10.4 were impossible to do with Panther. I will never release a product without having tested it myself. So if I claim it now works in Tiger it does. Anyway, another update is due for next week. Fixing the problem with keychain in Tiger for 99% of the cases. [alert admin]

FinderCleaner 1.2 (Mac OS X)
I am aware that ejecting doesn't work in Tiger at the moment but I don't have Tiger yet as I can't afford it right now. I am looking into the problem and I hope I can fix it even without having Tiger. As for ejecting Windows shares this should be made possible without having Tiger so I will look into that as well. I was planning on releasing a new version made with XCode but that will have to wait until I have Tiger to make sure everything works as it should on both 10.3 and 10.4 [alert admin]

Tomato Torrent 1.0.3 (Mac OS X)
I don't see how people dislike this app, it may be quite limited but I don't see the point in changing all types of setting in your BT client that have very little effect. This app keeps it clean and simple. It does just what it's supposed to do, downloading stuff. And on top of that it takes very little system resources. [alert admin]

When did you download this version? Seems you have a broken one. Try downloading it again or contact me for a good version and it should work fine.

1.7 being slower than 1.5 is probably because of keychain acces. Getting the password from the keychain takes some time, after that the program will continue as normal. There will be an option not to use keychain in a future version but most people like it better this way so for now it will stay as it is.

It's not supposed to be 10.4 only but there can always sneak a bug into the code. If you'd like to try an older version please email me. I'll look into the problem but it would help if you could send me some additional information.

I'm going to fix that as soon as possible as this is obviously a major flaw. I can't do this with Apple's Applescript editor unfortunately as it doesn't allow secure dialog boxes. There is a work-around but I can't use it since this will most likely break compatibility with some OS X versions because Apple changed admin privileges in Applescript. The good news is that there will be one more FinderCleaner 1.x release, that is unless…

I'm sorry to be a bit harsh in my comments but I get a bit tired of people that just run any application on their Mac HD for whatever reason. It is pretty obvious what this app does and if you don't have problems with hidden mac files you should just NOT use it.

Please note that this has been mentioned before. Both on this site as well as in the readme file. On top of that the app warns when you try to "clean" a Mac formatted volume. I'm sure you meen well with your comment but please read before you post.
