QuickScale 3.6.2 (Mac OS X)

lightning fast image browser

The scaling function is ok, easy batch photo is better, but as a simple thumbnail browser this is incredibly fast ...if there was a way of hiding the resizing tools box on the right it would be perfect, or maybe just make a lite version of only the browser. [alert admin]

Pixelmator 1.2.1 (Mac OS X)

this company has it's own agenda

If you go to their forums or try sending them an email you will see that that pay zero attention to customer requests. This will never be a serious graphic application without the option of disabling color managent, and after seeing no attention paid to other users as well as my request to implement it, I am giving up on this for good since they seem to not give a rat's a$$ what people want ... they only care about what they want ... so, good luck to them. RiftVault 1.0b2 (Mac OS X)

lot of bling, not much else

ok so it looks really cool and shiny but it in terms of functionality it has a long way to go to catch up with apps such as 'password wallet', which looks plain and boring, but at least autosubmits login information, has many more options, and confirms saving of changes for safety's sake. This has a way to go. I would give it 2 stars, but I'll hold off since it's still in beta. [alert admin]

Synk Standard 6.4 (Mac OS X)

best of it's kind

This is the most stragitforward, easy and best backup software I have tried. It even clones signifigantly faster than both superduper and CCC, and produces error free drives, unlike both SD and CCC which I have to fix with diskwarrior and every run. The only problem is that it leaves some folders visible on the destination disk which should be invisible. And it's a little expensive too imo, considering Time Machine is free. [alert admin]

Pixelmator 1.2 (Mac OS X)

color profiles

This version is much better than previous ones ... it is getting quite close to useability but not 100% yet. My two biggest complaints are: 1 - you cannot set a preference to discard/remove color profiles on load or save. 2 - does not support photoshop filters The color profile issue is the one that makes it still unuseable for me. 1Password 2.6.1 (Mac OS X)

pain in the a$$

2.6.1 doesn't work with camino 2, doesn't work properly with omniweb 5.7 (will not restore form with only one tab open) ... and is a pain to continually update it every time a minor browser update comes out. iCab .... since they don't want to include iCab in their list of supported browsers, I have dumped 1pass and am using the built in form manager of iCab quite happily ...just give iCab it's own keychain and you can then set it's own security prefs. CheckBook Pro 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)

excellent

iBank does more but this is a lot cleaner and more organized for straightforward account entry if you don't need the online portfolio management [alert admin]

A Better Finder Rename 7.9.7.1 (Mac OS X)

makes sense to me

there is nothing confusing about the price difference or your explantion ... it makes sense to anyone with any common sense which obviously does not include Thomas/eyelab. He should also try traveling abroad where he would be in for a real shock where prices for identical items are drastically different in different countries. Not to mention that he is a complete ass for posting private mails here. [alert admin]

Carbon Copy Cloner 3.1 (Mac OS X)

Speed Test Vs Superduper

with all the comments about superduper being so much faster I did my own tests with a 29 GB boot drive ...identical clone conditions using SD 2.5 and CCC 3.1 Initial clone Superduper - 56m CCC - 49m Sunsequent clone Superduper - 9m 40s CCC - 5m 23s [alert admin]

Synium Software Developer

yeah, but it still logs unrelated items such as stuffit expander plist and also includes documents you have created such as movie files when you select mpegstreamclip and sometimes some critical system files that should not be included. It's a good app but the logging is not that intelligent.

Troll

Congratulations ...you are far and away VT's greatest Troll, probably of all time. Your abusive and incohereant ramblings perpetuate this site, if there was any moderation at all you would have been banned long time ago. You claim, in another thread, to be a genius ... I would say that you are an imbecile looking for attention. Here's hoping that you fall under a rock somewhere and dissapear for ever, but I doubt we would be that lucky.

We're working on it -- Camino 2 coming soon!

thanks for the feedback and the camino update.... it's not that I'm really ticked off, but I'm just happy with iCab for now. about the omniweb bug: if only one tab loaded at startup, some sites will restore, others will not. workaround 1 - go to another site that works, click on the 1pass icon, go back to the original site, it will now restore. workaround 2 - open a second tab, go back to the first tab and…

toRestoreFiles.rtf

you mean as opposed to a piece of clutter inside the folder? ;) I'm not really bothered but I just thought it would make more sense to remove this file completely and add the info in the help docs or the 'read me/manual'

More Clarification

it does NOW. And yes, I do know what a reference movie is otherwise I would not have brought it up. I think it is obvious that you just changed the behavior of the app since you just made this comment 8 months after I pointed out the fact and are trying to make it look like it was always the case, which I think makes you and your statements pretty pathetic. When I made that observation…
