Prosoft DataBackup 3.1 (Mac OS X)
The problem with "Warning..." type reviews is that the author assumes what happened to him is universal and will happen to everyone. That is seldom (not "never" but "seldom") the case, whether it's this software or something else. I've been using DB for several years without any such problems. But I can't say "Buy this! You will NEVER have problems!" either. So, to balance things out: this product has worked flawlessly for me for years now. Hence: 5 stars. [alert admin]

sendIT 2.1 (Mac OS X)
Surprised no one reviewed this yet. If you do some eBay selling or other shipping besides just mailing letters, this software is very convenient. You can make up your own labels and save them; they really can save you some cash, and if you've got the right scale, it will tote everything up for you. This isn't a subscription or postage printing thing; it's a shipping aid. Does exactly what it says it does, and makes life a little more pleasant and a little less expensive. [alert admin]

QuicKeys 4.0 (Mac OS X)
3 stars is just Wrong! 5 is more like it
I've left feedback previously, but I've just got to point out that this is a 5-star program, which once you learn it, makes life on the Mac significantly better. I can only conclude that lower ratings come from the "instant gratification" types, who tried it for a matter of minutes instead of days, weeks, or (in my case) years. QuicKeys is the -first thing- in install when updating. 4.0 is even better. The developer is responsive. I honestly don't understand the low rating. [alert admin]

USBShow 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Developer: The user tested this on his computer, instead of on a USB stick. Because of the way this is coded, it will only work ON A USB STICK, as it is advertised to do. I have received no complaints about this product when it is used as it is designed to be used. [alert admin]

QuicKeys X 4.0b4 (Mac OS X)
Well, I too have used QuicKeys "since day one" and unlike the other posters (below) I have absolutely -NO- problems with it. I consider myself a "power-user" with some fairly intricate and multi-step macros, along with a 60 or so fairly simple ones. The only time I've seen QK "lock up" has been due to a change in the circumstances when running a macro (such as a changed menu, window title or so on) or when I screwed up the macro myself. I've been running all the latest 4.0 betas without any problems, and have, in fact, removed my other text expanders in order to try out the new option inside QK4. So, while some folks seem to have trouble with it (and historically, that has always been the case: it's quite powerful software) I personally have no problems at all running it under 10.5.7 on an Intel Mac. Just wanted to balance things out. [alert admin]

Mozilla Firefox 3.5 beta 4 (Mac OS X)
Safari 4 score on Acid 3: 100; Firefox B4: 93 (but the rendering was finally right) Safari V8 #3 score: 2880; Firefox B4: 300 Yes, I know it's a beta... this is just by way of saying where things are as of beta 4. On the plus side, it's coming right along, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how the release does. Firefox remains a keeper... but Safari remains my choice for browser... at least so far. Phynchronicity 2.4 (Mac OS X)
... from the comments below... this has evolved into a fine package. I'd suggest checking out this latest version before depending on 2-year old comments. [alert admin]

NoLimits Rollercoaster Simulation 1.72 (Mac OS X)
I gotta add my rave for this software. There are dozens (hundreds) of different coasters; the setup will let you configure it for almost any machine and graphic card (although the faster the better, of course) and it's just plain fun. The experience is more realistic than you'd expect, sitting at your desk. One of my favorites. [alert admin]

Postbox 1.0b10 (Mac OS X)
I've used literally every email program available for Macs/Apples over the last 30+ years. This is the first one that really blows me away. Yes: it's beta, and yet you can easily see that it still needs work, but I've already switched. The feature set is incredible... and it's not slow on my machine. This is (IMHO) what email should have been all along. Once this is out of beta, it will be a slam dunk. [alert admin]

these problems were with PPC Macs and have been fixed in the latest update. (I'm a user, not the dev.)

Click on the image, to advance to the next photo. If you click on the right side, it will advance to the next photo; click on the left, and it will go to the previous photo. All clearly explained in the "read-me". Thanks for pointing out the other issue. I'll fix it.
