Avery DesignPro 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Ignore the 6-year old single star rating... this is a Mac program, and it does what it says it does. I've used previous versions, and just tested this one. I commend the Avery folks for releasing it for free. (Yeah: I understand it will help sell their labels, but... so?) Nice work. [alert admin]

Data Backup 3.0.5 (Mac OS X)
Not sure why the previous poster is having trouble, but it's been working great for me, and many others on several of the lists I’m on. I'd check to make sure the target drive is properly formatted for what you're trying to boot: GUID for Intel, and APM for PPCs. That's the most common error. I'm always suspicious of blanket warnings "to everyone - stay away forever" when the product has been out for years, with hundreds or thousands of users, none of whom seem to have the same problem. My own experience is that the program works as advertised. PPC Mac running 10.5.2. [alert admin]

Winclone 2.0 (Mac OS X)
Nonsense... it's an excellent program ![]()

Regarding the post below: the list of drives is just the way the OS works. The time it takes is.... er.. the time it takes. The developer pointed out that you need to fully shut down Windows before you clone it. In point of fact, I've used this to back up -and- to restore and it's worked flawlessly every time. I've contributed to the developer because having such a utility is not just "nice" but -vital-... unless you enjoy re-installing windoz (a 6 to 8 hour process.) This is truly a 5 star program, and I -trust- it. [alert admin]

Kensington MouseWorks 3.0r1 (Mac OS X)
Er... so what if it hasn't been updated since 05/06? It works just fine in Leopard. I've not had a bit of trouble. Do you folks (below) want an update "...just because?" If it ain't broke, don't fix it! [alert admin]

MacSpeech Dictate 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Title pretty much says it. I was a "founding" purchaser of iListen, but used it infrequently because it seemed I was forever making corrections, instead of working. That improved significantly when I went from a $50 to a $100 mic... but still wasn't really good enough to "just use." MacSpeech Dictate has changed all that. The good mic (Parrott with USB adapter) is still worth it, but the new software is so vastly improved that I'm actually using it to write a book. recommended. [alert admin]

DEVONthink Pro Office 1.5.1 (Mac OS X)
You might want to wait 24 hours to download, as they have the 1.5.0 version linked to here, and on the Devon website. [alert admin]

Very good, but with CCC v3 out, it's hard to justify the cost
CCC is a fine product, but it takes literally twice as long to complete a task as SuperDuper.

Hmmm in my own tests, CCC (which works just fine, and is $30 less than SuperDuper) takes 3 times as long to do a clone as SD... YMMV
