The Unarchiver 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
It used to work... now it's broken.
I have used this program for months and months with no problem. After the 2.0 upgrade, I suddenly cannot open certain password protected .zip files I had no problem with in the past. How do I downgrade to 1.6? [alert admin]

iPod Access Photo 1.2 (Mac OS X)
This question is for the developer, before I buy. I have loads of photos on my iPod with the same file name. Unfortunately, this program, while beautiful, seems to be unable to extract more than one file with the same name. For instance, if I have 10 photos with the name DSCF00001.jpg, and attempt to retrieve all of them, it will overwrite each every time, and you end up with only one photo! How do I get around this serious limitation? There's absolutely no way I can do them one by one. I have 10000 photos, and probably 1000 of them have duplicate names! [alert admin]

File Juicer 4.6.1 (Mac OS X)
Just drop those annoying ALBW files onto file Juicer and voilá. Individual MP3 tracks. Useful since Album Wrap doesn't work for OSX any more. This is a great program and I keep finding new uses for it. [alert admin]

AlbumWrap 1.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
TIP: If you have an ALBW file and want to get those individual tracks out, skip this program (which wouldn't extract under Tiger for me) and use File Juicer instead! [alert admin]

aMSN 0.95 (Mac OS X)
This is a far cleaner and faster product on my Mac Book with built-in iSight than Mercury. In my opinion, if you want webcam support for MSN, this is the only app to choose. The latest release of aMSN (0.9.5) is far better than its predecessor. That doesn't mean it doesn't still have serious flaws. Configuring port-forwarding for webcam transmission can be a terribly daunting task for those unfamiliar with networking technologies. Even when I've followed all instructions to the letter, the aMSN webcam setup window still reports that I'm behind a firewall or router, even though my software firewall is off and my router is correctly forwarding the entire range of applicable ports. Despite this error message, SOME recipients using MSN 7.5 for Windows see my webcam correctly. Yet some cannot get it to work, no matter what they try. It's frustrating, to say the least. At least some people can see it though, which is better than what MSN for Mac or even Adium have to offer (and Mercury's too slow to be considered). So for now, if I need to see or transmit video, I use aMSN. If not, I use Adium. Mercury is not even in the picture, as the interface is equally as horrendous as is the performance (2fps max video!). PhotoToolCM 2.0 (Mac OS X)
Please please PLEASE make a universal binary of this plug-in. I loved it dearly on my PowerBook, but alas, my MacBook speaks a different language... DEVELOPER? [alert admin]

Mac Messenger 3.3 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
MSN Messenger doesn't even support Audio, much less video. If Mac Messenger could do audio or video it would definitely put this app on the map. [alert admin]

Pod2Go 0.6.3 (Mac OS X)
I see 0.6.4 is out, but not on VT yet. I also want to correct my previous post. All the feeds are there. I had missed the pull-down menu in the news panel. [alert admin]

DVDTheque 1.4.1 (Mac OS X)
I was simply responding to the poster before my post who was commenting that DVDTheque didn't handle collections well. I've now used DVDTheque (v. 1.4.1) and I maintain my conclusion that searches only work for the most common titles, and errors in data are common. The titles found are invariably the wrong ones (US only?). This makes internet searching almost useless. I still have to go back into every title and fix much of the information, and input missing info. No field for synopses. Also, initiating a search by title is far too cumbersome. Why isn't there a single program for Mac that will search by ISBN? Input the ISBN and there can be only one possible match. No guesswork. This program does have a well-implemented aqua standard interface, though. [alert admin]

Pod2Go 0.6.3 (Mac OS X)
Works again... I love this app. One question for Kainjow, though: Where did all the "real" news feeds go? Why remove the so many feeds that worked fine? It's a lot of work for the user to go and find good feeds. Still, 5/5 as usual. Best app for the iPod, hands down. [alert admin]

I downgraded to 1.6.1 at the developer's site, and now everything works again.

Unfortunately, this CM item was written for PPC, and CM items don't work in Rosetta. There's no way to get this to work for Intel Macs. And the developer hasn't updated this ***otherwise perfect*** utility in over two years, and will not respond to emails. I think it's dead. I wish the developer would release the code so that someone knowledgeable can recompile for Intel Macs. I don't think the developer knows how great this product was and…

Basically, yes, though each name can store other information such as email addresses, notes, etc. Many Nokia phones have this feature, like the 61xx, 62xx, 63xx and 65xx series.
