Weather Vane 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Multiple City Selection

Search for Maple Ridge and get mine in BC and another in NB. The NB one appears in the menu according to the Lat and Long. Cannot see how to select Maple Ridge BC. Also, the Lat and Long are out from Google Earth. [alert admin]

MultiDash 3.0 (Mac OS X)

Keeps loosing my settings

I too have tried MultiDash 3.0 and found it next to useless. Over and over, I keep having to reload the widgets in a dock. It either forgets what I asked for or changes them to something else. It often returns to an old (possibly first) setting of a dash board. Like the idea of collecting categories of widgets but this should be much better by Version 3.0 Looking for something else [alert admin]

Peek-a-Boo 2.4.3 (Mac OS X)

Impossible Demo

Version 243 spends 95% of the time displaying a request for money. No chance to study what it does. Agree that $5 to 10 is a more appropriate cost - after the payment request is removed. [alert admin]

IBM ViaVoice 3.0.2 (Mac OS X)

Poor Via Voice Support

The following comments were provided by a Nuance Rep Thanks for contacting Nuance. The current version of IBM ViaVoice MacOS X is only supported as high as 10.2 on the Mac operating system. At this time there is no current plan I'm aware of for a new immediate release that will support the new operating system. For any additional information you can contact us at 800-654-1187. Looking for a product to help a student that has poor fine motor control and has trouble writing or typing. Can't even try this one. [alert admin]

Ryan's Math Quiz 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)

Nicely Done

Well done interface. Like the way one does not have to keep pressing return to get the next question. Big display and nice selection of problem types and ranges. Good stats. Good way to teach my 14 year old grandson arithmetic (darn calculators) and me how to use a numeric keyboard without looking. Thanks [alert admin]

Watcher 3.0 (Mac OS X)

Scary

I just expected this program to monitor performance type usage but was very surprised to find it shutting down my sessions. Went through the deinstall on my main system disk and removed it from StartupItems. Now it terminates my other accounts. And I started having my eMail Inbox messages disappear after installing Watcher. Coincidence or cause still to be determined. There has to be a warning and a better set of instructions. And I still have to get the whole thing out of my system. tom_mcintosh@shaw.ca. [alert admin]

Oracle 10g 10.1.0.3 (Mac OS X)

ORACLE 10 G and OSX Serrver

All of the introductory material just mentions OSX10.3.6 but the installation instructions state the minimum is OS X Server 10.3.6. Is there any way to work with ORACLE 10g with a standard OS X system or do I need to acquire and install a Server operating system. [alert admin]

Scary Relieved

Author sent the following that fixed my problem First, you should have used the "Uninstall" menu from the Watcher app. As I posted on versiontracker.com, two components must be removed to uninstall the application. You found the first on in /Library/StartupItems/ but you also need to remove /Library/Application Suport/Watcher/ . This will prevent your session from being closed after 60 seconds. I asked the author to give more than a minute to accomplish finding the program and running…
