DeepBurner 1.7.1.123 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)

No spyware problems

Just downloaded DeepBurner and installed it, then ran Microsoft's Antispyware... no problems detected. [alert admin]

The Analogue Ripper 2.0.2 (Mac OS X)

Some awkward processing...

AR does record from line input fine, the problem is how it saves the data. .MP4 files can't be opened in some other sound editing programs, and it describes the process as importing and exporting to a movie. In fact, the mp4 files it saves have the Movie icon associated with them. Saving can also be quite slow. If you don't save a file as independant media, you'll get a file that needs the original file to refer back to... I discovered this when burning what I thought was a regular mp4 to a disk, only to discover that the file wasn't playable on another computer because the original data file wasn't on that computer. A solution for the hangs...

Seems that DL hangs when it's given more data than it can handle. Thus, if it opens iPhoto or iTunes fresh and goes straight to the library, it's confronted by hundreds of photos or tunes, turns white, and passes out in the middle of the floor. The trick is to Already have those programs opened, and especially important, have the album or playlist that you desire already selected. DL will then go to the application you choose and begin in the place you just were. No problems then, except that it is SLOW as molasses. For god's sake, don't ask it to look for a photo in an album that has more than 10-20 pictures in it. You will suffer. Tom [alert admin]

Consistent hangs from the get go

Sorry, same deal with me. Hangs every single time on import from both iTunes and iPhoto. Seems like a slick little program, but that's just so basic a problem that I can't believe it's out of beta. Tom [alert admin]

Couldn't change card backs

Program crashed when i'd hit the Center button when trying to change the card backs. It wouldn't allow me to put my own photo on the cards, either by dragging or copy / paste. It would put caracatures on the cards that cycled without any real clue as to how / why they did it. The game itself worked fine, just those little customizations that were buggy. Tom [alert admin]
