Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 (Mac OS X)

I'm an illustrator and use elements primarily as a creative tool (google dkzn/dickson) ... I was using version 3 on an intel mac so was experiencing some incompatibility problems, the most irksome of which was PE's habit of crashing while in the process of saving something and, thereby, wiping out the work I'd wanted saved ... so I was impatient for the release of this universal version and, so far, have been very happy with its features and performance ... the only problem I've had occurred shortly after I downloaded it — while checking out it's features, it crashed a few times ... thinking I might have a space problem, I reorganized the content on my external hard drive so that I could completely free up one of its three partitions ... this gave me a block of unfragmented space, as recommended, to assign as my second scratch disk ... whether or not this explains it, I've had no crashes since [alert admin]

love tapdex ... like its other yellow mug companions, it's cleanly and simply designed, works well, and looks right at home on a mac desktop ... for my purposes, a very useful bundle of tools [alert admin]

Persistent crashing in OS X Tiger

I too have experienced considerable instability using PE3 with Tiger . . . it frequently crashes while I'm opening image file, especially when it's not yet open when I double-click the file but, sometimes, even in the process of simply opening itself . . . the files I'm opening are usually tiffs, frequently layered, and range in size from 35 to 100MB . . . some days there are no crashes, some days many, and…
