CarbonAboutBox 1.0 (Mac OS X)
FYI: You can already do this in 10.3
in your Carbon app. using HIAboutBox() from MacApplication.h in the HIToolbox framework -- also one line of code. Still, "CarbonAboutBox" looks like a decent replacement when an earlier OS is detected. [alert admin]

Beholder 1.1 (Mac OS X)
actually, you can specify the size
in the search. Download the Google Wallpaper engine from the Search Engine Library to see how to do this. HTH. [alert admin]

NetScrape 1.1 (Mac OS X)
Slow for Google image searches?
Not sure why the google search was so slow...is it "scraping" the original images as well as the thumbnails? If someone wants to do Google searches fast, I suggest using Beholder instead (plus it's freeware). [alert admin]

"Only the Beholder application file (“Beholder.app”) will be installed in your Applications folder; your system will remain otherwise untouched." This is to quell fears for those who dislike the pkg format. HTH.

Altavista doesn't return a direct link to the image in its results page, so Beholder cannot get at this information. Beholder only can display the information it can gather from the results page.
