InstantShot! 2.5 (Mac OS X)

Great Tool!

I've been using InstantShot! for about 1.5 years and it has become my favorite screenshot tool. I don't even use the other ones i've downloaded anymore. Just too convenient to use from the menubar. [alert admin]

ImageJ 1.33e (Mac OS X)

Instructions for download not clear... Here's what to do.

Boy, they sure make this hard. I finally figured out that you need to go to http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/download.html to download the latest version of the basic program. Then come back to this page and download the latest JAR file. Thanks to mfero1 for the instructions on where to put that jar file: "Replace the ij.jar file in Contents>Resources>Java" [alert admin]

Calculator+ 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Basically a nice…

calculator with most of the functions I need, but disappointed that I couldn't format the output. My wish list: Add the standard SCI (10^N), ENG(10^3N), FIX (no exp), and COM (comma's every 10^3) formatting options. Also, I occasionally need to convert decimal to binary to hex and back. Something I haven't seen on other calculators but would be pretty handy for most sw types, the ability to put in a code (dec or hex) and have the ASCII character(s) put on the screen. [alert admin]

gNAT 1.0b9 (Mac OS X)

Could this be…

used to set up a dial-in Appletalk Remote Access (ARA) Server under OSX? I haven't been able to find an ARA Server capability anywhere, but am willing to try setting something up if I can find the right tools. [alert admin]
