Adobe Acrobat 9.0 (Mac OS X)
Adobe don't seem to want Mac business
I have spent a week trying to buy Acrobat form Adobe. They do not make a standard version 9 for Mac as yet and will not sell the version 8 which can run on Mac. They suggested I buy the Professional version, as I am in the UK this cost about 4 times as much as the standard version 9 (Windows only) from the US. All I want the program for is so I can fill in PDF forms and save them, which I am not even certain I can do. Adobe offer a free trial of Acrobat 9 Professional, but you guessed it, only on Windows. I can vaguely understand that itunes confines people to purchasing a download from the store in their own country due to copy write problems on third party products, but why do Adobe do it? The cost from UK store is bout twice the price of the US, although as the dollar strengthens the difference is shrinking Acrobat Pro from US $449 from the UK UKP522 (as of today that is = US$850) for a download.
