Audio Recorder 2.2 (Mac OS X)
Really handy tool for quickie records. I use Audacity to edit them afterwards if needed. Somebody get this guy and icon though... oh wait, I can do that. [alert admin]

Default Folder X 2.0.2b4 (Mac OS X)
DF was vital OS 9x, and remains so for OS X. I'm amazed that Apple never ripped it off like they did Konfabulator (i.e., Dashboard) or Watson (i.e., the new Sherlock), but it's too bad. It would probably be more stable as a in-house app. That said, because I work with hundreds of files a day, while pricey, I'm never a day with my DF. Kudos to shareware/freeware innovation. BatChmod 1.34 (Mac OS X)
Vital util when you need to batch change permissions and don't want to run a full system repair. [alert admin]

Audacity X 1.2.3 (Mac OS X)
Audacity is brilliantly functional. It's the best of the multipurpose sounds tools I've found for mac that is either free, or affordable. Use it daily for recording, editing (including MP3s), and a boatload of other media uses. Still a bit ugly, but it gets the job done with aplomb. [alert admin]

MacJournal 3.1.2 (Mac OS X)
MJ's still the king with great features and export options, even if a bit buggy. Bought it at MacWorld SF and use it a zillion times a day -- okay, I exaggerating a bit. He, he... cool app still. [alert admin]

Free Dice 1.5 (Mac OS X)
Freeware or not, this dice roller's nicer than most. Flexible and generic (i.e., not D20 specific) and the sounds make is satisfying for those of use who are nostalgic for the real thing, but want electronic. Agree that it should drop the resize feature, as it screws up the UI elements. Also would love to have the option of metal OR aqua as the look. [alert admin]

PNGCrusher 1.2 (Mac OS X)
No problems here. PNGCrusher works flawlessly and saves PNG much better than Photoshop/ImageReady/Fireworks. Great freeware. [alert admin]
