teleport 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
I can't believe I've gone this long without this. I always have at least 2 computers on my desk and since I run Apple Remote Desktop for our network I have relied on it for even my immediate needs. Just mousing over to the next screen is SO DANG ELEGANT, and easy. As a matter of fact I need to tweak a webpage quickly while also doing another task (which will ultimately reside on site). Site sits on the Mac on the corner of my desk. Task has to be done on my immediate machine. Merely mousing back and forth is seamless. Setup is perfectly intuitive. Nice. [alert admin]

Dock Gone 1.0b3.1 (Mac OS X)
Been thrashing all day for two days with nothing ever showing up anywhere plus no ill effects on 9 DragThing Docks over all 4 screen edges, nor with MaxMenus. Better than even when shrinking and hiding it up under the menu bar in pre-Leopard OSs. Promptly responsive developer. [alert admin]

Just tried KNO and the main difference is that DG does the "move the tiny dock location" thing so well. This matters if you have hotcorners. With KOD the presence of its minimized Dock conflicts with that corner (is also 3x longer than DG's - at least on my system). With DG when you mouse to the corner where the Dock might popup the Dock shifts to the opposite corner making the previous corner easily available for hotability. Still, for the difference between free and $10 ($15 once out of beta), each user must make a decision. Me, I'm opting for DG. [alert admin]

Yeah, and saying nothing is SO helpful.
What the problem is that the Dock is not banished or otherwise disappeared. But then the description cleverly does not say that DG will do so. DG does indeed get it totally out of your way, just like the description says. So you have your Dock set to hide and on the bottom. Once DG is invoked moving your mouse down to the bottom will bring up this incredibly small (maybe a quarter inch long and 3/32 inch tall "thing" way to the right of the bottom of your screen. *That's* your Dock. And, it's functinal. I long for the days of hiding it under the top but am also finding I like having the dang thing around every once in a blue moon. Still not convinced I'm going to pay $10. Works here on 2.4 GHz C2D MacBook Pro / 4 GB RAM / OS X 10.5.6. I used to periodically pick a favorite image, rename it "DefaultDestop.jpg" and drop it into /System/Library/CoreServices. This is WAY easier. Now if it could only randomize from a folder of images. [alert admin]

Right Zoom 1.3 (Mac OS X)
does have its usefulness. For me will be when when window has for whatever reason gotten huge and I can't get to the bottom right corner. Sometimes hitting the green button helps. Sometimes not. This should mediate. Read the Guide. They have other WIndows ideas. [alert admin]

Find File 0.3 (Mac OS X)
Assuming most times you'll already be in a Finder window, add the app to the toolbar. With a Finder window open, click on the app wherever you've saved it and drag it to the Finder window's toolbar, waiting a second or two for it "to take." Then whenever you need to invoke it and you are in a Finder window merely click the icon. [alert admin]

ExpanDrive 1.3.3 (Mac OS X)
Amazing app. Amazing that I find nothing here yet. The network robustness is amazing. i use a laptop and go through several wired and wireless networks daily. Once a drive is mounted it stays mounted. Amazing. Ye, MacFusion is free but not as efficient nor as slick. Developers are super responsive, too. [alert admin]

X Lossless Decoder 20080822 (Mac OS X)
Current (as of this date, Sept.6) is 20080907 (build 86). In all my years I have never seen such rapid development, all of it based on user input. The latest feature has to do with Accurate Rip and terminology used in the resulting log. The developer has his reasons, based on user input, for the wording in the previous version. A number of users wanted an alternate wording. The developer as is his practice accommodates both groups by making a feature optional. You may not want to have it set to automatically check for updates (I hate apps phoning home.) but you should always manually check daily for the time being. Load a CD, have your prefs set for Test/Copy but only if a track is not in Accurate Rip database. Couldn't be easier to manage. A bonus is a notification in the Decode window when the CD is in the AR database. Just two things needed: 1) a proper explanation on how cache is defeated; 2) correct handling of "fancier" CDs (Super, Enhanced, etc.). [alert admin]

But if you have the app will it still work with the new version? Is there something about this version that doeosn't do the syncing?

Interfere was the wrong word as functionality does remain. But going down to the corner brings up KOD's Dock. Not very elegant. Cheap; yes. The latest DG may be perfect. Heck, I paid up when the developer had the little thing go to opposite corner of where the mouse pointer went. Now I'm even happier. I've been working all morning, using a total of 9 DragThing Docks covering all 4 sides of my screen and…

TRhere is a GUI called Remembr or something like that. trouble with a GUI is then the OS loads. Only free RAM can be tested. Much more RAM is tested when from commandline.
