SteerMouse 4.0.1 (Mac OS X)

It works with effort

I've been using Steermouse with Logitech mice for a couple of years. It works well with one mouse. It is a pain to program the buttons for most mice. Occasionally I want to use a different mouse. steermouse does not recognize that a new mouse is being used so it tries to use the settings from the previous mouse. The settings must be changed everytime I switch a mouse. I would give Steermouse 5 stars if programing were much easier and If it would allow me to switch mice without having to do the settings all over again. [alert admin]

Apple QuickTime 7.3 (Mac OS X)

Fixed 7.2 export bug

I've been waiting for this upgrade. 7.2 introduced a bug which prevented MediaWorks and other video applications from exporting custom settings. All seems well again. [alert admin]

iView MediaPro 1.0.8076.0 (Mac OS X)

Iview or Expression, No difference

Expression could have been titled MediaPro 3.00000001. A few icons have changed but that is about all. I've used this program since it was affordable for an individual. I will continue to use it. It's many features and flexibility are excellent. I've looked at the alternatives but like this one the best. It is very disappointing to see that Microsoft has not done more than the smallest cosmetic changes. In some ways that is good. Nothing seems to have been made worse. My Shuttle-Pro settings continue to work as before. [alert admin]

Boinx FotoMagico 1.5.1 (Mac OS X)

Simply Fantastico

This is my favorite software. It is simply beautiful to look at and to work with. http://www.panerbob.com/italy_site/Best%20of%20Italy%20Welcome.html Look at my Italy movie, the big blue button on the second page here to see what it can do. [alert admin]

Acquisition 121.6 (Mac OS X)

This is a good one.

This is one of the best Mac applications that I have used and at an extremely low price. It is very reliable and easy to use. Great feature set. Updated often, it keeps ahead of the rest. [alert admin]

iSpeak 1.2 (Mac OS X)

Cute, But

the purpose seems more easily done by selecting the text and letting the Mac speak with the press of 2 or three keys or one button on a good programable mouse like a Logitech. Did I miss something in the description? [alert admin]

Cepstral Voices 3.4.0 (Mac OS X)

I love this voice

I have listened to all of the demo voices but none seem better to me than Apple's Kathy. She has a great voice. Maybe I have fallen in love with her. [alert admin]

Mousepose 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Wors now

Mousepose did not work for me even after entering the downloaded license. The problem was with my Logitech USB keyboard. I have found that it runs fine by selecting in preferences and using the F13, F14, or F15 keys. Mousepose and Mightymouse work well together. I use Fotomagico from the same company and have had no problems with their use of my email address. [alert admin]

Sounds perfect except that my old computer runs Jaguar 10.2.8. It will not go to Panther. Anything for the old cat? [alert admin]

Another solution

I have a similar vision problem. For my eyes, the best solution has been Mightymouse which can be downloaded from here on Versiontracker. It will let you set the size of the cursors. It is free to us with vision problems but I paid anyway. I use the buttons on a Logitech multibutton, cordless, mouse to control Zoom and speech. It is much better than trying to hit the keyboard.…

Far Too Expensive for Testing Beta Software

GC and Fotomagico are great programs but totally different in what they do. I use them both. I suggest that this reviewer try both apps and maybe compare Fotomagico with Photo to Movie for a better comparison. Review the software and not the price. We can all read and make our own decision on value.

Problems

My Mac setup is almost the same as yours. I have found the software to be very helpful. I could not get it to work a few versions back and contacted the developers several times. They could not find the problem since the downloads worked for them. It turned out that Mac OSX is slightly different in the USA and European versions. they made a change and now everything downloads…
