Tenon Post.Office 3.5.3v720 (Mac OS X)
Quit spamming the feedback section with ads for competitive products, people - if you've used Post.Office, then review it. If not, then your comments don't belong here. Having said that, I've used both Communigate and Post.Office, and overall I'd say that Post.Office has the edge. Real easy to configure and very stable. Highly recommended. [alert admin]

needs a few more features - such as autoexec commands on connect, simple scripting, resizable input field..... Ultimately, this is very promising, but rather too limited for regular use as yet. [alert admin]

Mozilla Thunderbird 0.1fc1 (Mac OS X)
wow - this is looking VERY promising. Much faster than the Jaguar incarnation of mail.app - especially with IMAP folders and seems to be generally very well behaved. Even at this early stage of development, it makes most of the commercial competition (Entourage etc) look a little lame. [alert admin]

Live Deskpicture 2.03 (Mac OS X)
I'd be tempted if it supported dual monitors..... [alert admin]

Webshots Desktop 2.0.19 (Mac OS X)
.... it ignores my secondary screen. Going back to swaptop for now, which at least updates the image on both screens. [alert admin]

Seamlessly integrates into Safari, yet very easy to bypass should that become necessary. I've been using PithHelmet pretty much since the first release, and it has become completely indispensable. [alert admin]

DockDisks 1.0b4.4 (Mac OS X)
works really well - and as I've previously dragged disks to the dock anyhow for quick navigation, it feels much more natural to have drives mounted there rather than on the desktop. [alert admin]

Fetch Art for iTunes 1.04b (Mac OS X)
... was amazed when I selected my whole iTunes library (over 18gigs), and just let the script get on with it. I figured it was bound to crash before it reached the end, but nope - it took a while, but did exactly what it was supposed to, with no issues whatsoever. Thanks! [alert admin]

Mailsmith 2.0 (Mac OS X)
Much as I love Barebones' other product - BBedit - this has to be a joke, surely? Fair enough that they should rush out a version 1.0 for OS X without all the required features, but version 2.0 and STILL no IMAP support is simply ridiculous. Frankly, this is underwhelming in the extreme. Mail.app - even with its many limitations - leaves Mailsmith for dead, as does just about everything else on the market.... As for the price, well all I can do is shake my head sadly.... [alert admin]

Nisus Writer Express 1.0b4 (Mac OS X)
Nisus Writer has been my favorite wp for years, but this ain't anything like it. It's barely any further along than Okito Composer (from which this is derived) was this time last year - and where are all the features that were promised by Okito before they were taken over? There's no tables, no auto updating date fields, no auto expansion/auto correction - in fact very little that would recommend this over TextEdit even if it were freeware! And now a Nisus employee on the Nisus official mailing list says that NW Express is pretty much feature complete and they're just working on optimisations. It'll be at least another year before we see a proper Nisus Writer for OS X. Well, sorry guys, but this ain't nearly good enough. Mellel, Mariner Write, Appleworks - hell even Letterworks - walk all over express for the same - or considerably less - dough. If other small software developers can do it, why can't you? Sorry, Nisus but you just lost a customer - I need a word processor with a few simple but essential features that I can standardise on (I'm a heavy wp user - several hundred pages a week), and I can't wait yet another year for it - your current offering is of ZERO use to me and I don't have classic installed; Word's too flaky, so I guess it's over to Mariner Write.
