Snow Leopard says FV does not work. Let's hope a new version is in the works. [alert admin]

PowerMail 6.0.2 (Mac OS X)
I've used PowerMail for years and am very pleased with its speed, search functions and ease of use. 6.02 adds some neat capabilities. [alert admin]

MaxMenus 1.5.1 (Mac OS X)
MaxMenus is absolutely terrific and it just got a plug in a Mac magazine. HOWEVER, I just discovered that it can arbitrarily, on its own, assign a hot-key to some function. For about 5 years, I have been dealing with a problem where I can't use the shift key to get a specific capital letter because it has been assigned to activate some app. MaxMenus was the culprit. MM is a must have for me -- glad my problem has been solved. The developer ought to fix the bad links on his website. [alert admin]

MaxMenus 1.5.1 (Mac OS X)
I hadn't found any trouble w/ 1.5 in Leopard, but am pleased that they have eliminated some problems I could have in the future. Wouldn't be without MaxMenus. [alert admin]

Drops 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Downloaded it, played a while and bought it. Maybe some scoring instructions would have been useful, but I'm figuring it out. [alert admin]

PowerMail 5.5.1 (Mac OS X)
I've used PowerMail for 5 years and love its speed and ease of use. Searching thru 1000s of messages takes seconds. The Universal version has been very, very solid on my iMactel. There's a mail list that covers most questions. The small Swiss developer spends a lot of time keeping PM state-of-the-art. [alert admin]

No, it does much more. MaxMenus is one of 2 or 3 OS X enhancements that I would not be without.

The developer's efforts were likely devoted to the ordeal of converting to a Universal Binary version. They are not a large organization, but they have been steadily improving this app for years.

Probably the ordeal of making this a Universal Binary used the time that could have been spent on the changes you mention.

No, there are clear instructions that allow you to update your previous installation. However, before I did this update I was automatically connected to the internet in XP and now I'm not -- ouch.

IClock does not work well with my iMactel. It clears off much of what's on my menu bar -- Spotlight, etc.

The developer is a small Swiss company. They probably don't have the manpower to always respond quickly. There is a mail that they own that is very helpful to users. Many beta testers are there and offer excellent advice.. PM is terrific.
