You need this IDE. It's great. I've been using it now for over a year, and haven't regretted buying it once. The ability to single step through Web CGI scripts is amazing (Pro version only). This IDE is the standard that all Python IDE's should be based on. There is an active user's mailing list that the developers monitor, and they are very receptive to new ideas, suggestions and even the occasional criticism and complaint. It's been getting better with each release. If you're serious about Python, get this. [alert admin]

G-Force 3.1.3 (Mac OS X)
Wonderful. I've been a paid supporter of G-Force for quite some time. It's a fantastic product, and I had no problem with sending the creater some well deserved money.
When I did so, however, nobody mentioned that this would have to be a continuous process or the product would revert to the unpaid version!
This means that the product which you think you've bought, you have only rented. Without any upgrading or trying to download the latest and greatest -- simply by leaving the version you have installed alone -- it will expire and start presenting you with nag screens to give the developer more money.
I cannot condone such behavior. If you want me to give you money to upgrade to the newest verion, I'm fine with that. But if you take away the version I have paid for, that is not cool! [alert admin]

Plain Text Editor 2.4 (Mac OS X)
Save yourself time and effort. Download the fantastic (and free!) TextWranger from BareBones. Avoid this. It's been shown to scare small children and rats in labratory tests. [alert admin]

MacTheRipper 2.6.6 (Mac OS X)
The developer of this application recently had his Macintosh die. If you want to support this developer now, he is currently accepting donations to allow him to purchase a new Macintosh so that he can continue coding this app. See the thread at:

What part of my original comment:
"Without any upgrading or trying to download the latest and greatest -- simply by leaving the version you have installed alone -- it will expire and start presenting you with nag screens to give the developer more money."
causes you to think that I tried to update my software, or download a new version.
Please don't treat me like an idiot, get off your high horse and start listening to other people…
