The Serial Keeper 3.3 (Mac OS X)

Abandoned

TSK doesn't work with Tiger, and according to the developer's site has been abandoned for the foreseeable future. No hints on how to open or transfer TSK files to another program are offered. I used TSK all the way back to the OS9 days, and have a ton of serial numbers that I can't access anymore. FWIW. [alert admin]

Kung-Tunes 2.3.6 (Mac OS X)

A lot crashier than I remember ...

I'm experiencing a significant number of unexpected quits with KT under 10.3.4 with iTunes 4.6. KT used to run for hours and days on end without crashing. Is anyone else experiencing an increase in crashes? They can be particularly bad when they hose your formatting. [alert admin]

Problems under Panther?

Is anyone having trouble running this under Panther? I can get it to launch and open documents okay, but it appears to crash/freeze when I try to quit the application. I get the SWOD, and then end up having to force quit the app. A bug report to Panergy is already in the pipe. [alert admin]

ToolbarTrash 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Seems to mostly work under Panther ...

the only oddity is that dragging an item to the Toolbar Trash seems to cause the window you're working on to lose focus. a minor annoyance. [alert admin]

FuzzyClock 1.2.2 (Mac OS X)

Seems to work fine w/Panther, FWIW.

One of my favorite widgets. It'd be a shame to lose it. [alert admin]

Kung-Tunes 2.3.3 (Mac OS X)

Back in business!

The new version (2.3.3) fixed my troubles. The author got back to me and had the issue resolved in less than 24 hours. Kung-Tunes is fun to use and the great support is the icing on the cake. [alert admin]

Problems after iTunes 4.1 install?

Is anyone having trouble with KT after upgrading to iTunes 4.1? KT seems to no longer work for me after the install. [alert admin]

Default Folder X 1.9b1 (Mac OS X)

Looks like another great update ...

This clears up one of the few shortcomings I'd noticed in DFX: the fact that folders weren't remembered in Adobe Illustrator's "Place..." dialog. I've used DF for years and years and it's been the most useful system enhancement I've ever purchased. [alert admin]

Illustrator

I'm running AI 10.0.3, on OS X 10.2.6. FontCard still behaves just as it did at version 1.0: It works okay until you access the font list in the character palette. Then FontCard loses WYSIWIG at the root level of the main menu bar font list. I didn't expect FontCard to work with the character palette, it was stated in the readme not to expect it to. And that's okay, but if it kills the main font…

Problem with installer, speed, stability

This is why St. Clair Software is tops in my book. When there's a problem, they acknowledge it, and bust a move to fix it. Certain other large software companies could learn a thing or two from St. Clair.
