iGetter 1.9.5 (Mac OS 9)

saved my bacon with numerous large downloads on a modem many many times . system updates sound fonts etc . you can stop slow down (to allow you to load web pages etc while download is running ) restart , turn off computer at end . filter pages for downloads and file types .

more or less 100% stable .

I may as well say downloading was hell to I found igetta . ***** [alert admin]

changes file icons in the finder

this a great application with many uses but I find in os X it changes file icons in the finder .

when you look at a file (in the finder in view as icon) which has been opened by graphic convertor it has a dog ear and is heavily pixelated . this makes it impossible to see the contents of the file without opening . and to me is aesthetically unpleasing .

I like the way photoshop leaves a beautiful minature image of the file for you to see in the finder . this makes browsing within the finder much easier and pleasing too the eye .

only a small point of functionality I know but nevertheless annoying [alert admin]
