VLC media player 0.8.6c (Mac OS X)

Crashes not anymore

I threw away all previous vlc files, using "app delete" and things are working well now. Sorry for the previous post. [alert admin]

TubeTV 0.9 (Mac OS X)

Excellent app.

Excellent app. I already have TubeSock, which works good but slow and is shareware. Tube TV is much faster, very fast in fact and you can browse the net from inside its own window. Wow! I'm impressed. And no need for documentation. All is missing is the save as movie (.mp4) and save as audio (.mp3) functions that Tubesock has. For the next release? [alert admin]

Corripio 0.5.1 (Mac OS X)

Best. Easiest. Fastest of that kind that I know.

You could look for the lyrics of your whole library in just one click and Corripio will add it to the files’ ID tags and you can get at them easily on your iPod. Thas’s exactly what I was looking for. Sure it won’t get at the lyrics of all the songs in your music library (like compilations or Best of). But what app does ? Though Corripio will show you what lyrics it downloaded and which it did not. Of the « get lyrics » apps that I know, Corripio is by far the fastest and the easiest to use. I would have liked to capitalize the previous sentence. And it is free ! Keep it up ! Jean-Guy [alert admin]

Name Search Companion 0.8.0 (Mac OS X)

Very useful

My previous post was about another freeware app (Rebuild Spotlight Index) that I had to use to fix my Spotlight Index that was very incomplete, who knows why ! Now I can fully take advantage of Name Search Companion. Name Search Companion has the feeling of the Mac OS Search function before Spotlight but uses Spotlight strenght! It is as little slow to open though. But still wonderful! Thanks! [alert admin]

Mac Toolkit X 3.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Very limited usefulness

I installed Mac Toolkit X, opened it, and then deleted it from my haard disk. Its usefulness is very, very limited. Might be useful for very very new OS X users. And even then I don't think it is worth the price. It will be useless to experienced users. [alert admin]
