Apple Airport Extreme Update 2008-001 (Mac OS X)

a mess

I've downloaded every update for my iMac that's been published from Apple. Repaired Permissions before and after installing. Never had a problem until now. This one has proven to be a real pain in the ass. My connections fell off, dropped out, disappeared all together, et.al. Finally did an Archive and Install to rid myself of it. I don't understand why you can't roll-back updates to the Extreme Card, like you can with the Extreme Base Station. Or maybe Apple just wants to sell more external hard drives and Time Machine software? [alert admin]

VMware Fusion 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)

S......L......O......W when using Vista

The short version; this program SUCKS with Vista. The long version; lots of problems with graphics performance; many artifacts when starting up. Difficult to resize windows. Also, wireless mouse issues; slow tracking, even after cranking up speed in Control Panel; "rainbow" pointer. Overall, VERY sluggish, even after downloading VMWare Toolbox. In fact, the mouse worked better with Vista's own driver. Tried allocating 2GB of RAM, cranking up graphics acceleration, selecting 2 virtual processors, to no avail. VMWare's web site is essentially useless for troubleshooting. If you're going to charge $60.00 for a Windows emulator guys, get your heads out of your collective a***s. Make a product that works with Vista and make your web support user friendly. Did anyone from VMWare TRY Fusion with Vista before releasing it? iMac 24" 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 3GB RAM [alert admin]

Weather Vane 1.5 (Mac OS X)

sounds like a great app...

...if I could download it. I click on both Versiontracker and the developers links and get nothing but a separate window of symbols, letters, and numbers [alert admin]

iConiCal 1.5.1 (Mac OS X)

nice effort but...

A previous reviewer commented as to why doesn't it show the month AND date in the dock. I agree. If the developer fixes that issue, hey, I'd pay for the program. Also, when you uninstall, it freezes the icon on your iCal application to the date iConiCal was installed. I tried using iConiCal's preferences to change the iCal icon, it simply changed the one in the dock. I ended up reinstalling iCal from the last 10.4.10 update [alert admin]

EasyEnvelopes 1.0.4 (Mac OS X)

worked great for awhile, but...

It now prints the addresses on the opposite side of an envelope using an HP 1022n. If you feed the envelope opposite of how the icon indicates on the feeder tray, it's fine. I've tried resetting orientations, removing preferences, reinstalling software, etc., to no avail. [alert admin]

For Windows switchers

Agreed. I wonder if this is easier to uninstall than Norton?

nice effort but...

Well, NO it doesn't, at least using 10.4.10 on a 24" Intel Core 2 Duo. I used your "Restore Icon" feature and my dock icon was restored, NOT the application icon. After deleting iConiCal, its preferences and related files, restarting the computer, THEN restarting the application, iCal's icon didn't change. I grow weary of developers inferring that users are either lying, or we're hallucinating when we report bugs with your programs. Gee, is it at least…
