Snapz Pro X 2.0.3 (Mac OS X)
Why does SnapzPro try to connect to a .mil server?
I'm not usually paranoid about this thing, but upon attempting to register SnapzPro, my connection monitoring software told me that 'register wants to connect to ntp0.sno.navy.mil on UDP pport 123 (ntp)' ?! What the frack? Navy Science? .mil ? Anyone else had this? Kinda freaky coming from software that can record everything I do. IS the navy trying to steal my graphic design style as a secret weapon? -steveo [alert admin]

Missing Sync for Palm OS 5.1.2 (Mac OS X)
Highly convenient (waste your money and time in one app) ![]()

Aside from the abysmal support, which they seem to be working on since now you get a "we'll get back to you next week" email instead of just not hearing back, the product itself has gotten increasingly unreliable and the source of many hours of aimless troubleshooting. Funny that it's for a device which is supposed to HELP manage your time. Hotsyncs seem to work about half the time since my tiger upgrade, and desktop mounting no longer works at all. My clients seem to have the exact same problems as me, so it astounds me that there isn't more about it in their knowledgebase. It mentions the problem, how to diagnose it, and concludes with, "if that doesn't work, than your device is having difficulty connecting to missingsync"... um, yes, I know. It's unfortunate they're filling the gaping hole for mac users that palm has left open, and even more unfortunate that they're the only one. [alert admin]

Delete It 2.1 (Mac OS X)
Robust but not effective on some fles ![]()

DeleteIt Seems more robust than the several others I've tried with my current problem; 'ForceEmptyTrash' 'iempty', 'ForceDelete', etc. but none have been able to trash some sticky items in my trashcan. These are items that can't even be moved out of the trash and whose permissions appear to be in order. When selecting these files using 'DeleteIt', the error given is 'file cannot be accessed NilObjectException Forward'. If you're curious the problem folders are labeled: 123 Firefox itunes Library Manager f [alert admin]
