MacFamilyTree 5.6 (Mac OS X)

Simply the best for the Mac  

I tried the other genealogy programs for the Mac and they all fall short except for Mac Family Tree. MFT has the best visual presentation and features by far. Updates are frequent and they address software issues and add new features very quickly. The best $49 I've spent in a long time! [alert admin]

Toast Titanium 9.0.2 (Mac OS X)

Worthless Support  

The 9.0.2 app will NOT burn a DVD due to consistent crashing. I have a new iMac with 4gb RAM and Leopard. I entered a support ticket and no response at all after SIX days! I used live chat and got the same steps for re-installing I already tried. No success. On a third call to live chat they asked for my system info which I supplied. Two days have passed and no response. On Live Chat they end the session without asking you if you have any additional questions or if the result worked. I don't recommend this app simply because of the lame support. So I now have a $100 app that won't work. [alert admin]
