Video links on MSNBC.COM continue to be a no go. Actually, in all fairness, I have Windows XP at work and video from MSNBC.COM doesn't work properly on that machine either. Okay, it's more Microsoft's problem than this software. [alert admin]

MPFreaker 1.6.2 (Mac OS X)
This product has awesome potential. Ieatbrainz only looks at a few fields but if you run it first, then run mpfreaker, that can help find a few more matches. All in all, i've gotten my money's worth from this product, and it seems solid and not buggy. Good job. [alert admin]

iSwipe 1.7.9 (Mac OS X)
Ladies and Gentlemen, it finally works for me. ![]()

I am shocked and flabbergasted, but with this version, I finally have downloaded, and, and uploaded! To multiple networks!!! Searches were quick, and found hits on multiple networks. The only glitch was gnutella didn't connect. It hits open-nap, the unsung hero of P2P networks. Edonkey, BT, etc. I only used it for 25 minutes, and it didn't crash. I set some settings, reinstalled the gift engine and restarted for good luck, and it ran. I will continue to use and explore this app. it is doing what I want right now. I have always wanted iswipe to work really bad, and now I do have to thank the developer for this successful release, excellent good show! [alert admin]

iSwipe 1.7.8 (Mac OS X)
It looks like the gift engine used in this version is an old 2.6.x version, current is 2.7.7. The concept of this software is really good. There has yet to be an all around P2P client, with a <decent> GUI, and all the networks with options to turn some off, for Mac OSX. Poisoned comes close but is getting old in the tooth. MLdonkey is doable with the web interface or Sancho as a GUI, but you have to be a geek to tweek it. I doubt the developer of iSwipe actually used iSwipe over other options out there for P2P, but someone must be finding this software useful, unless it really is Jokeware. Again, as with previous versions I have failed to successfully download one thing with it. [alert admin]

FStream 1.2.6 (Mac OS X)
I start it, it streams Bass Drive and slows down slowly to a halt. When I first opened it went beachball and I swear the beachball was bobbing to the music! Kind of cute. Luckily all was okay when I paused the stream. Nice one you got me there. [alert admin]

Missing Sync for Palm OS 5.1 (Mac OS X)
using this for a couple of weeks now
I was originally optimistic, and things are syncing, but some things are being deleted and other aren't. Also, I have about 10 president's day holiday reminders...all the same old problems. Syncing on the Mac just doesn't seem to work. I'm using TMS to sync with ical and isync services, a motorola phone, and an ipod, .mac. I really wish it would just work. [alert admin]

Well I wouldn't give this app. a pass if there was something going on, see my other posts. So I've upgraded and after working with it for a while, I can say that I have had reasonable success syncing my palm+mac+phone+ipod. When I try to use the epocrates conduit, missing sync crashes. I've cleaned up the dupes in my contacts and was very happy to get this apspect to sync accross all the devices. Calendar as well worked as far as I can see. I'm hoping for further success. YMMV = TMS. For those of you experienceing the alter ego of this program, I feel for you, but your not alone. Good luck. [alert admin]

Missing Sync for Palm OS 5.1 (Mac OS X)
After you install this, it will wipe out your data on your Palm!!!!
BEWARE BEWARE
From the readme:
1. IMPORTANT - READ THIS BEFORE YOU INSTALL ON MAC OS 10.4 "TIGER"
If you are running Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger" or later and have already been syncing your Palm OS device with this Mac, you must first perform one final sync with your existing setup before installing this version of The Missing Sync for Palm OS to ensure that your Mac contains the most current data. After installing The Missing Sync 5.1, you will be setting the Mark/Space conduits for Contacts, Events, and Tasks to overwrite the handheld data for the first sync./b Complete instructions are provided below in the "Installation Instructions" section of this Read Me. My bad, there is email support, my firefox made it hard to click on. The reply from the developer said to delete the prefs file: com.lairware.mpfreaker.plist in the home directory. sorry.

Yeah, Palm overwrites Mac. That would be cool. I think it is an isync problem though, and this program rely's on isync. With what you said I'm surprised you gave it four stars.

Maybe 5.0.3 fixes the problems people claimed for 5.0.2...
I would hold off and wait to see if they have fixed this software. If you look at the laundry list of things they have changed, you might be tempted. But there are similar laundry lists of improvements for previous versions that were in fact disasterous for many. If you like to take risk go for it and let us know though how it turns out. As for me, I've stopped syncing with my Mac…

Massive duplication and you gave it 3 stars? That seems really generous.

I didn't know if my review posted because syncing caused my open programs to become non-repsonsive. So, after force quiting I logged off and relogged on and synced again. My second sync revealed over 200 conflicts, but upon looking at them it had to do with the category they were filed under. Missing Sync disputed my iCal category. After resolving in Missing Sync's favor it doesn't appear that I lost any data, appointments, or adresses. It…

What a bunch a crap! they are giving us. Year after year, and all MacBu can do is give us this stinkin little app. What is wrong with you people (MS and Apple)? Isn't MS' motto something like "software to take me where I want to go"? I want to be able to use Mac OS X and sync my stinkin MS products with the bs exchange at work! And I don't want to have…

Some of us must still be using that crap. Anyway, it looks like MACBU is throwing us a bone. I could never get Outlook for Mac to work with their exchange server anyway. I am excited about this because I'm pissed off at folks like MS that give us crap like this and make like it's some great gift, and the same folks pushing stuff that's suppose to be a standard, like .pst, bluetooth, or…
