Mactracker 5.0.9 (Mac OS X)
An excellent piece of reference software that is updated regularly. Works as advertised and works well. I was just thinking it would be nice to list my past devices and macs - this is a built in function in the software! Highly recommended. [alert admin]

PDF Browser Plugin 2.3.1 (Mac OS X)
I've been using this plugin for ages but after recently doing a clean install, I've noticed that (at least in OSX 10.5.6) Safari displays/saves/prints PDFs natively and often feels faster than plugin based rendering (Adobe's being the worst). Does any one know the incremental value of this plugin? Is it even needed? [alert admin]

Camouflage 1.21 (Mac OS X)
A must have piece of software if any one else at all might have a look at your messy desktop:) Invaluable when going for presentations - desktop appears enviably clear... No bugs of note and the price is right... [alert admin]

Voluminous 1.0.6 (Mac OS X)
to counterbalance the idiotic ratings below. The software looks good although i don't use it myself and can't vouch for how well it works. But given the idiotic 1-star reviews below, i felt compelled to counterbalance them. [alert admin]

MovieMerge 1.01 (Mac OS X)
Nice effort, and potentially really useful and something i would pay for. However, there are a couple of issues for me: 1. When pasting a PNG file containing text to watermark the image, i end up with some frames that have a thick white border bottom/left. Plays OK once i a delete those frames. 2. There should be more control as to where an image can be placed. Top/bottom/left/right is barely adequate. 3. It should be possible to scale the pasted image! I'm sure the author is already working on these issues, and i will keep an eye on this software.... [alert admin]

BGBlitz X 2.6.0 (Mac OS X)
Very nice game play. Graphics are OK, no fancy animations or 3D perspective, but to be honest, that's OK (although would be nice), because it plays so well. Recommended. Was going to give it 4 stars for lack of eye candy, but decided to give it 5 instead to offset some of the more curious reviews that recommend a competitor's product by "phantom" reviewers. Nova icons 1.0 (Mac OS X)
So, what's new in this version?
This keeps popping up on an almost daily basis with the same version number and no explanation as to what has changed. Downloading a second time showed no change, but haven't tried a 3rd (or 4th or 5th time). Would the developer please either increment the version number as appropriate or update VT as to what changed as this is beginning to irritate. Thank you. [alert admin]

Cooliris 1.8.2 (Mac OS X)
Completely equivalent to Firefox version, now also called Cooliris. Current version works very well. Highly recommended. [alert admin]

First of all, may I offer my sincere apologies for daring to have, in common with many others, a problem which you clearly have not experienced. And as such simply cannot be true! Since you are one of the (apparently) more successful, intelligent and all-knowing Mac users, I know it must be my fault that downloading with either Safari or Firefox, and attempting to mount the resultant disk image with either DiskImageMounter or Toast Titanium…

Being held accountable would be a genuine concern if this was a matter of any significance and if the original author didn't have a point: "Editor's picks", highlighted in the list of software, should not include apps that only the vast minority of mac users would ever be interested in, at least if not earth-shattering. Which this software is decidedly not, unless you are an MS fanatic.

FYI, the "syrinx" in Syringomyelia is ancient greek for "pipe", hence it's use in both contexts.

The author of this software has offered a shortcut for free, and all you can do is put a rather crude message in caps about a common browser feature (yes, a lot of browsers behave this way). Use the "Report bugs to Apple..." under the "Safari" menu to submit your request to Apple (and consider deleting your post as it is completely irrelevant to the topic, thanks).

So... A company gives you software for free. It's really developed for other systems, which run on the Intel platform, and since Mac OSX has gone native, it's offered (for free) to OSX users as well. And your only comment is "Seems like you're trying to force us to buy a different computer." What kind of a bloody attitude is that? Here's an idea: PAY for the software, THEN DEMAND stuff (I won't even go into how brain…

Clearly you've not been gifted with reading comprehension, so I'll try and explain the role of this software in terms 5 year old may be able to comprehend:
I don't use this software and don't intend to, but if i did want to read free ebooks, this would be my software of choice and i would pay for it.
Does this sentence make sense? Free ebooks, but a paid for reader, which offers lots of extra features.…

I'll say a couple of things: 1. What you're asking for is the very definition of bloatware (multiple "features" packed into a single program) 2. Bento was never marketed as an "Entourage killer". It's job is not to be a personal organiser or anything so specific. It's a database application which can be put to many different uses. Unfortunately, as with all databases, how good this works depends on how good the structure of the individual database…

Interesting comment. I've not been able to replicate you experience with previous versions of Escape Medical Viewer, and am unwilling to even try this again. That's because i now run OsiriX 64 bit for cardiology, which is a minor expense compared the relatively high pricetag for this software, but allows me to do so much more than simply "view images side by side", eg do 3D reconstrutions of CT angiograms etc, as well as open massive…

I'm guessing you meant the MAC-only company that sold out to microsoft, but the sentiment is the same... Personally, i could never understand how having a CD in the drive is any kind of guarantee against piracy... Apart from "no-cd" hacks, you could always download a .iso or .dmg for pc or mac respectively, burn to CD and play. The only thing it does is irritate end-users (legitimate as well as others) into not bothering with…

Now that is a nice balanced view, and i would have absolutely no problems reviews like that. But ekinney1 is somewhat different in his views. My only comment to your post would be that Delta Tao may not contribute anything to the game, but they sure post upgrade notices regular as clock work, so it's not inconceivable that they create this type of fanfare (1-post posters) when they do.
