This application is exceptionally hideous and provides for a really janky experience, but if you can stomach that it kinda works, sometimes. [alert admin]

All Mac-versions of AutoDesk products are horrible. The screen artifacts and other graphcis glitches are a product embarrassment to say the least. Often times "something" is better than "nothing," well this isn't one of those times. This is terrible, same goes for AliasStudio, etc. For $2000 you'd think AutoDesk would deliver something other than this shoddy port. [alert admin]

1Password 2.11.0 (Mac OS X)
I was wondering if this still uses an inputmanager for Safari? If so I have to toss the baby with the bath water because inputmanagers have wrought utter havoc on Snow Leopard so I've dumped them all for good. [alert admin]

Flux 2.30 (Mac OS X)
Slow to the point of unusable.
Experiencing the same issues as the previous poster. Flux has proven to be very unresponsive.
- Opening an existing site incurs a significantly long spinning beach ball.
- Then, once loaded, the first attempt to even scroll down the list of the site's contents immediately gives way to another frustratingly long, spinning beach ball.
- Reluctantly deciding to wait it out, I switch to another open application while I wait, and while I can successfully switch to other applications, the Flux Insprector window decides to accompany me and floats atop any application I switch to.
- Eventually I end up Force Quitting Flux.
- I try Flux again, but this time simply create a new, blank site. Unfortunately I run into all of the same, irritating hang times.
Something definitely doesn't seem right here. This application was at first intriguing, but the fact that it can't even keep up with basic operations is definitely a red flag. Any suggestions?

Inkscape 0.47pre2.2 (Mac OS X)
I'm not going to give this a bad rating mainly because it's free and the developers worked hard enough to port a Mac version. If you can't afford anything else then this will do. Unfortunately anything using X11 (at least everything I've ever experienced) is a horse's patoot. It's kind of like driving a diesel car every once in a while when you're used to a regular car. But like I said, it works. [alert admin]

I've had to cease using DTP on Snow Leopard since it crashes not long after opening it. Just a heads up for anyone reliant on DTP who's also considering upgrading to 10.6. [alert admin]

10 Photography Pet Peeves We’d Throw Down a Black Hole
"Unless you're sneaking behind Apple's closed doors to photograph their next supersecret prototype and you're desperate for the credit, watermarks are just tacky. If you're concerned about people stealing your photos, don't post them on the internet.
The photography game today rewards openness and exposure. The watermark is either the sign of a newbie who doesn't know any better or insecure photographers who simultaneously thinks their photos are better than they are and that everyone is out to steal them.
Yes, it sucks when someone steals your photo when they should have paid you for it. Send them an invoice. Don't ruin your photos for everyone else who wants to enjoy them.
For photo editors looking for potential photographers, the watermark is usually just a sign of someone who will be difficult to work with. Either because they've been burned in the past and they're paranoid, or they just have an inflated idea of the market value of their work."
I have to agree that watermarking photos is a crude and desperate attempt to force a solution from an age past on to a modern problem.
