Apple Mac OS X 10.2.5 (Mac OS X)

iCab X 2.9.1 (Mac OS X)
beta browser for years and only recently reached 1.0. I think the wait was a good idea. The problem is that many companies release beta-quality software and call it 1.0, like Age of Empires II and Mac OS X 10.0.0. [alert admin]

LimeWire 2.7.1 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
list of changes buried in one of their forum posts. I looked at their website. Where is the Version History? Why are the changes not listed on VersionTracker or on their main page for the beta? Is there a Read Me file with the program describing what is new? I don't think so. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?s=942a2e465b0a2dffa5adf54397741319&threadid=16467 [alert admin]

America Online (AOL) 10.2.1 build 22B (Mac OS X)
software ridiculously difficult to obtain. I had to sign up for an AOL account just so I could download build 21D for an old woman who uses AOL. I use RoadRunner broadband, and she's got a telephone modem. I am not about to sit and wait for a 17 MB download through a modem. She received a new computer with 10.2.1 from a friend, and despite several phone calls, AOL obstinately refused to simply put the software on their FTP site for me. I'll give the software 2 stars because she didn't lose her mail during the import, only her entire address book (which I had to manually reconstruct). The toolbar is too large. Build 21D does seem to work, though. AOL apparently wants to have new customers and wants to keep their current customers, but as a tech support person and given their lack of interest in helping me set up AOL on 10.2.x, AOL is giving me a very big incentive to get her off the service. Netscape Communicator 4.8 (Mac OS 9)
You can't turn off URL auto-complete. #2. You can't turn off the Favorites toolbar (like you can in Windows). #3. Doesn't display the VersionTracker search pane. [alert admin]

Netscape Communicator 4.8 (Mac OS 9)
really evolved in years. It is dead code. The funny thing, however, is that Internet Explorer, which so many worship, often has more bugs/problems. There are pages that only work correctly with Netscape Communicator/Navigator. [alert admin]
