Answer to Terminal usage and own reports
The ACL problem only only happens if you update from from an existing version of OSX. It does not occur if you follow Apple's instructions and do an archive and install. So why does Apple recommend this? Why do you not do it?
Now back to reality. The work around I tell you is easy to follow and it does not require any special knowledge. It solves your problems 100% and even other problems that you may not bring in relation with this one.
A new version will come soon and it will have a graphical recover solution, but not for the ACL problem. Complain at Apple, it's their problem, and you do even not get an answer. I reply to every mail. So, sorry that I helped you and you needed to use the Terminal! But it solved your problem, didn't it?
I'm in this business for over 20 years. I DO NOT WRITE OWN REPORTS! Sorry if most of my customers come from Europe and may all have this non perfect English style. You are invited to speak as much languages as most European do, like me, I speak four languages, and we will see if you are able to write perfect reviews in this language.

Yes the product is still supported and development continues. Due to some shorting in time the final release is late and actually set to autumn 2007. It will be UB, localised, implant amazon web services 4.0 with French and Canadian amazon, and some other cool new features. I want to thank all those who are still with us and I accept now requests to become a beta tester and to help with translation in French and German. Best regards, Pascal. [alert admin]

Ghost Sphere 1.8.1 (Mac OS X)
GS never stated to be bullet proof. It uses standard OSX APIs to hide files. For 10$ this is a fair function. You can use several hundred dollar tools to ensure the security. They modify disk drivers, and files are truly hidden on a low level. The downside is that no disk tool will be able to check or repair such disks and over short or long time a disk crash is sure, and you loose your data. You may also use an external drive with those finger print encryptions, but some vendors removed them from production due to exactly the above problem. The vaults may be found, but they are still safely encrypted. [alert admin]

1. You can double-click the datafile to open it instead of the app. If this is the only one you use, do this. 2. Safe Sphere has a 'Open recent' menu. Just one step. 3. The most important thing. Safe Sphere is absolutely not full of bugs! It is very stable! Nevertheless, it is true that there is a bug in the Plugin Designer. Nobody else discovered this as you have to delete an element to see it crash. Why didn't you contact me and report the bug? I offer support! I immediately took a look at it after I discovered your report and a fix will come out in the next hours. For safety, I'm sure you didn't loose any data as the database protection was engaged before the crash, I checked this too. Regardless of all this I may understand bad ratings for stability if a soft crashes, but why did you rate support so bad as you never contacted me by mail? [alert admin]

Hello, First I want to let you know that I respect every one's opinion. If you feel offended by activation, so please let me feel offended by serialnumber databases like 'Surfers Serials'. Not the developers are responsible for this but those who use illegal software. Next, eSellerate is a MindVision company. I do not think they stop their service tomorrow. Next, If I ever stop developing software I will put a free latest version online for month. Next, Even unactivated, Safe Sphere works in Demo Mode. You will have access to everything, even if there are 10.000 records inside, but you will not be able to add new ones. The browsing works in any case. I hope this helps to clarify things. And again, please do not feel offended, I'm a friend of everyone who owns a mac. [alert admin]

Why do you blame this soft? You do not write what exactly happened. I did not get any mail from you asking me for support. Ghost Sphere does NEVER deletes data. It doesn't even feature such a function. Why didn't you contact the support? We could certainly advice you to get your data back and see perhaps why you are loosing contact to a hidden folder. GS never looses data.
