The 3D Matrix Code Screen Saver 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Nice looking - but not worth money.

This is a nifty screensaver, but - trust me here - there are PLENTY of cool screensavers out there that are free. This is not worth $5.00. [alert admin]

Quicksilver 1.0b35 (Mac OS X)

This app is unique in its usefulness.

I'm a G5 desktop guy, and I just bought a Powerbook. I love it, but it's a totally different feel. Different keyboard, different screen, different workflow. Quicksilver makes using a laptop bearable for a mouse-addicted trackpad hater. I can easily launch apps, navigate my files, and actually get work done! This spp is amazing! Trust me when I say that - even if you are a die-hard freeware junkie and you HATE paying for software - you will feel comnpelled to donate to these developers. This app is THAT good. Keep it free, and enjoy. Five stars. -------------------------S [alert admin]

Rubik 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Does not launch on my 10.3.8 G5

I double-click the icon and it flashes briefly in the dock, then dies. [alert admin]

Remote Remote 0.5.4 (Mac OS X)

Is there Windows software that can do this?

We are in a predominantly Windows office, and I currently run a wwwinamp server which allows people to search for songs and add/remove them from the cue. I'd LOVE to switch it to iTunes if there were a way to control it from another PC. [alert admin]

CrystalFire Wormhole 1.2.4 (Mac OS X)

Please give it a slicker interface.

It's cool - don't get me wrong - but it really needs a totally seamless interface - like it's part of the OS. Possibly a "hot zone" without borders on the desktop which files can be dragged onto? Would be nice. [alert admin]

CrystalFire Wormhole 1.2.4 (Mac OS X)

Man - this is a SWEET app!!!

Totally works. I'm amazed and thrilled. Any bets on how long it will be before Apple integrates it into the MacOS? [alert admin]

FinderScape 1.2 (Mac OS X)

Wow - it's REALLY useless!

This is a pointless app that only gave me about 15 seconds of entertainment value. I could see how theconcept MIGHT be used in a constructive way, but this inplimentation serves no purpose. I honestly hope that the author got school credit for their efforts. That being said, the catchy name and interesting concept, as well as the effort by the author earns it two stars. [alert admin]

I can't figure this app out at all

From what others are saying, it's a very powerful application. I was able to install it and launch it, but I have NO IDEA how to use it. Even after reading some how-tos, I cannot display a file I downloaded from the USGS. If I ever get this app up and running, I'll re-post. Until then, it gets fewer stars because the interface is quite horrible. Not for normal users!!! [alert admin]

How do you quit?

You can quit the widget by hitting F12 and then clicking on the Plus sign in the lower-left corner of the screen. When you click that, every widget on the screen gets a black & white X which closes them.

Still under development?

I'll do my best to keep this app working with Tiger. It should not be much of a problem at all. thanks, -------------S
