i-Installer 2.65.2 (Mac OS X)

...is a quite poor product. I don't see any claimed advantage over fink, which is a powerful package manager where all the dependencies are taken care of, and it does not poison your /usr directory with possibly conflicting installations. What if two packages install the same library with different versions? Or if a package installs a library which already is present, but with a different version? What happens when you then want to uninstall the package that introduced the conflict; is the common library removed as well? OTHO, kudos for the maintenance of the tex libraries for the mac; Gerben is doing a very good job there. [alert admin]
