GPS2Aperture Lite 0.9.14 (Mac OS X)
After I got my Solmeta DP-GPS N2 I was looking for ways to have a look at where the pictures have been taken without uploading them to any service or embedding them in KMZ files. Well, here's the solution! Works flawless - I'm happy. And I "discovered" Aperture Assistant at the programmer's site which I'm going to test after my next day out with the camera. No, I'm not affiliated in any way, I just like what I get ;) [alert admin]

Things 0.9.3 (Mac OS X)
... it completely blew me away. I left iGTD for good for some time now, I'm not religious enough about GTD to follow Thinking Rock, and I disliked OmniFocus' UI and workflow. I stayed with TaskPaper for quite some time and was pretty happy with it - until I gave Things another try a couple of weeks ago. Very flexible, great UI means I actually use it all day (and sometimes night ;) ) long, iPhone supoort coming - what more could you ask for. By now one of the best and most useful apps I've ever used. [alert admin]

Nikon Capture NX 1.3.2 (Mac OS X)
Still not fully 10.5.x compatible...
As the Nikon site states: "The software corrects an important data corruption issue when using Mac OS X 10.5 however is not passed as fully compatible with this operating system." Come on guys, should be done by now, right? [alert admin]

TaskPaper 1.0.3 (Mac OS X)
Actually I didn't want to try it out, even though I purchased a license with the recent MacHeist bundle. As I started to think about the missing features in Things (which is going to be great, I believe - and far more flexible to suit your needs than iGTD, which I left for good) I just wanted to see how TaskPaper stacks up against it. And ... it's great. I can literally develop my own sorting and prioritization system with the task, while the interface is just great: KISS at its best. I'll stick with it for now and keep an eye on Things. [alert admin]

endo 1.0.46 (Mac OS X)
I was an early supporter of the Endo concept. After a good start not much happened, for whatever reason. Now it's Donationware. This says to me "I won't put much effort into it, let's see how many people might be still interested". Not that many, I'd guess, with Vienna + NetNewsWire + NewsFire + quite a few others out there. I just hope Ecto is not heading the same way. I paid for that as well... [alert admin]

*censored*tail for 10.5 - works fine!
After a little waiting (see below) I just want to follow up: The Leo version works like a charm, everything's fine and as expected. Tweaks in the UI are for the better as well. Can't add feedback for the v4.0 because it's missing in the list, but I'd rate it as 5 stars. [alert admin]

Saft 10.0.1 (Mac OS X)
I used to be a fan of Saft, and I paid for the Leopard upgrade w/out hesitation. After the installation as an Input Manager the Safari Plug-Ins were always deactivated after a new launch, no matter if you checked to activate in the prior session. Since I couldn't find the settings to stop that annoying behavior I decided to say Goodbye to Saft. BTW, I've been a user for about 4 yrs... [alert admin]

Leopard *is* here, dear Maintain...
"*censored*tail 4.0 (Leopard Edition) will be released later this year." Close to 2 months to go... At least an indication for a release date would be great, so I can decide if I stick w/ *censored*tail or leave it (what I intend to do as it is now). [alert admin]

While I still like a lot of things about QuickSilver, this version covers what I need and made me switch back... [alert admin]

No problems like mentioned here... actually no problems at all, I like it best after trying out quite a few of the others around.

In case someone wonders if the fix works - it does, at least for me (and keeps doing so, v1.8.8). Thanks for the update!

Most interesting - Saft gets beaten, all of sudden someone with no track record at VT comes to the rescue and gives praise to exactly the points that led to the criticism. Well...

Thank you, Hao Li, for making sure I did the right thing when I spread the news about your total rip-off - and broken code, BTW. What an attitude - stay away from this!

Yes, I did exactly the same. Features I've been waiting for (better, more flexible printing ranks high here) didn't appear. And while I very much liked the basic approach, it wasn't worth getting into this yearly scheme.

Apart from my support for your line of reasoning - have you tried to contact the developers and get a time limited full license? Maybe they can offer you something that helps you...
